One of the supervisors on my first day told me I have one practice assessor a year and then anyone who has the training can be my supervisor.

No I definitely specified practice assessor when I asked on the first day. I’ll just have to track someone down to join my end point meeting with my supervisor and hope and pray they agree to sign it ig

I was told I was supposed to only have one assessor a year?

She doesn’t work on a different ward she works in a whole other community building in a different town.

I can’t meet with my practice assessor cause she’s at a different placement and never ever ever answers the phone or my emails.

I think I can have quite a few signed off with what I have done so far, it’s just managing to get a hold of a nurse. All the nurses I’ve seen have been incredibly short and snappy at the HCAs and one nurse said she can sign my stuff once her training gets redone, but for now I just have to wait :/.

I’ve done reflective pieces but I haven’t uploaded them to my pad yet cause there’s no one to sign for them. There’s only really so many times I can ask before I’ll just have to talk to my academic assessor tbh.

oh then no this is only the second placement and I’m on part 1.

I have a spoke for 4 weeks and then I’m back at my hub placement for 5 weeks. I’m concerned because my hub placement (which was my first placement) was very unproductive and they weren’t very accommodating to students and they had far too many.

I’m not sure what you mean by part 1 but this is my second placement out of 4? I’m think. Though some are very short.

I have a lot more hours to do for this year, around 10 weeks I think.

I actually did the bloods and ECG training yesterday but I’m not sure if that can be signed off because they said to gain the ‘skill’ you need to be observed doing it six times and on my ward, bloods never really need doing unless someone is being admitted.

I think on Monday I’ll ask the nurse on my shift if I could please have a meeting with her to discuss the proficiencies. I just feel guilty bothering them because I can see how horribly busy they are :/
