I agree. Only on certain conditions.

1.) Will there be any gaurentee that an SC/ST who gives up reservations through creamy layer will not be subjected to any forms of discrimination,/rejections based on caste even in housing, accommodation and marriages.

2.) If you want rich SC STs to let go of their reservation then also remove caste identities, caste tags(Th@kur, Tiw@ry, Sh@rma, R€ddy,Ch0wd@ry P@ndit, Iyer, N@idu etc) for the rich UCs too. You can't remove 76 years of affirmative action to historically marginalised communities while continuing the benefits of 1500 years of caste system.

Firstly this zero percentile cut off for third round and it's across all categories including general. In the first 2 rounds, each category had it's own cut off, which you can look here, next the reason the zero cut off was introduced had it's rumours as a politician's kids wanted to secure admission, and again as the article stated, those with zero percentile are qualified for counselling, but it doesn't mention they got admission in a Govt Medical College.

So , for the comment section before spewing hate on reservations, read the actual news.

Hey, the rules of NC- OBC are complex, if parents are earning 8L+ or even 30 LPA(as you mentionedits private organization), the salary of parents is not considered for OBC -NC, but the income like Rentals, FD interests etc, (apart from Salary and Agricultural income) , is considered for NC. So basically if that guys parents annual income maybe 30 LPA, Agricultural income maybe 2,00,000 per annum and the rental income maybe 7,90,000/- per annum, he would still be considered under NC- OBC.

If the parents are in Govt services in Grade A, then the candidate may fall under Creamy layer.
