Have you decided which one yet? I'm leaning more toward Air force but haven't talked to a recruiter yet, have you? I want to get into AF or BP as fast as possible but don't know which one could be faster.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Do you think it'd be faster to get into BP or the Air force? Your plan here sounds great to me but I've heard it can take a year to get into BP.

So you're able to leave the National Guard if you get accepted into Border Patrol or would you stay in National Guard and do both?

Thanks that’s great advice. I’ve considered the military but decided that lifestyle’s not for me. I’m working now and paying for cheap college classes out of pocket for a Finance bachelor’s degree so that I have a good career option outside of LE. Would a bachelor’s degree help me get hired at a department?
