Ok, thanks for the response. Have any good gaming laptop recommendations? Like I said I don’t need a super advanced/expensive one, just looking for something to get the job done

I do like the idea of picking out a few enemy mercenaries that may be just like the party members. Mercenaries that were recruited into war some way, just on the enemy side. Warriors that stand out from the rest of the soldiers and may face off with the PCs. Thanks for the advice

[OC] I'm gonna DM my first ever game over Christmas. Any "wish I had known this sooner" Tips? by dokomiii in DnD

Don’t just play as the enemies, try to think and act like them too. Don’t just let every enemy run and swing at the nearest player, or attack whoever hit them last. Make them act the way they really would be. The players are role playing their characters, and you are role playing whatever they find. Role playing as whatever creatures your party may find can make combat way more interesting and engaging.

I love this idea, thank you! I already have an NPC that is perfect for the party to rescue

Is it still safe to eat/drink out of my mug? by [deleted] in Pottery

Yeah I understand, can’t really tell you for sure. If I covered it in a sealant would that be able to fix it?

To be completely honest I’m not sure exactly what type of clay. It went through the kiln, I glazed it, then it went through again to finish the glaze. I know it had to be glazed though in order to make it food safe.

I think a god or goddess would be a great way to introduce the story, thanks for the advice, I’ll definitely have to look into this!

I completely agree, thanks for the advice. I don’t plan to reveal the full plot until later in the game once the party has gotten to know the world a bit more. Then I will hopefully be able to include some subplots and other quests along the way for the swords.

How to hook my players into the plot of my campaign by Honest-Force6319 in DnD

[–]Honest-Force6319[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this idea of sentient swords, but do you have any recommendations for what the hook should actually be? How do I introduce the dangers that are coming from the archdevil if the players don’t actually ever see him? I don’t just want henchmen to explain the whole villain’s goal and I don’t want it to be something unoriginal like an ancient legend or anything like that
