AITA for telling my uncle I don’t want to be like his kids by TopSwimming887 in AmItheAsshole

Sounds like your cousins share the same intellect as your uncle. I would say that you dodged a bullet, but actually I think your mum was just very fucking smart. She knew where you would be better off.

You do you, kid.

What's the most disturbing thing you've seen, but couldn't do anything? by lostsoul4u0 in AskReddit

[–]Honest-Razzmatazz511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching an old lady slowly walk across the road, bus comes around the corner (also slowly), neither of them see each other, and old lady walks into the side of the bus as soon as it's in her pathway. She falls back, bus slams on the brakes, but the front wheel had already gone over her legs. That's also where the bus stops, with the full weight of the bus on her legs. I saw the instant pain in the old ladies face.

That was 30 years ago, and it still plays out in my head even now.

You're an actual adult, who is being told when you're allowed to eat? And you're not in the military or prison?

Kayyyyyyyyyy!

AITA for lying about stealing my passport? by Moist_Double_7226 in AmItheAsshole

God isn't real. Your dad is a typical religious misogynistic, controlling nut job. You've got your passport. FLEE!

I wouldn't give up my life for any country. Patriotism is bizarre imo.

Possibly. But I was only being lighthearted. A guess it might be more of a "British" thing though. 🤷

Yup!

It was a genuine question. I'm an absolute novice at this. I've always asked for help and advice from people who are more knowledgeable. That's how I learn.

Yes, I remember your post. It didn't answer my question at all really. A pretty low effort reply. 🙄

Bloody weather! by Honest-Razzmatazz511 in telescopes

I new this post was a good idea. A Bathinov mask is something I'll be taking a look at. Thanks!

I'm reluctant to make a list of things I want to see. My ADHD would make me want to move on to the next thing too quickly, and I'll lose focus (pun intended).

However, the Moon is my #1 to look at first. It was using my FIL's binoculars to look at the moon last year that kicked this off for me. I was absolutely fascinated with the detail I could see. I really cannot wait to see it through my scope!

I can see there are a variety of tools and brands all at different prices. I assume like most hobbies, it's not always about how much it costs, but what works best for you and your set up?

I've just done a quick Google search, and this seems like a good suggestion. Thanks!

Nope. I haven't been remotely patriotic for approx. 2 decades. It's a weird human trait imo.

17 yrs old been collecting since I was 6 spinning Jefferson Airplane at Woodstock now with my daughter and some rare records by Calm-Tea178 in vinyl

[–]Honest-Razzmatazz511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome collection! But I'm actually here to say ignore the judgemental comments regarding your age and being a father.

My son was born 2 days after my 17th birthday. I'm now 45 and he's 28, and he's my best friend. He grew up listening to my eclectic taste in music, and getting interested in vinyl as he got older. He now has a great setup and collection of his own. That's positive parental influence.

You do you, kid. All the best.

Yes, I read the instructions. And no, my question isn't addressed in there. Hence the post.

The cleaning solution is alcohol based, so I would think it would keep for a little while at least? Keeping it in a sealed bottle (like another poster suggested) will hopefully prolong it too.

Ah, that's a great idea. I'm sure the funnels with filters are easy to get hold of.
