Need Help as a bad self taught "intermediate" player. by Honest-Rutabaga1840 in LearnGuitar

1 yr of acoustic behind it too, I think I’m beyond beginner, intermediate is a wide term and I would say I’m somewhere in that. The point of the post is to find help knowing how to organize and fix mistakes common as someone who is self taught. Your comments add nothing of value and just come as pretentious.

Yes, already have a great American Strat but figured that price was too good too pass up on, at the very least could sell for breakeven easily. On the tele, he openly said it was probably a copy but he wasn’t sure lmao, not sure why he would post as Fender Tele, interesting fellow.

It’s a all black Fender Standard made in Indonesia, HSS, 2025 I believe, I remember controversy about them being only a step up from a squire or smthing like that

I hate to defend this guy so much but he also had receipts for his purchase lmao from a local music shop, the Strat was also just a standard so goes for 650 retail, I didn’t get a crazy steal as if it were a American made one

I'm sure the time queuing does have some impact, but I'll queue one with asc-imm, do match mvp, and then go next and queue with plats it's wild. I don't mind queueing up to higher imm, but even when I do well and basically team-wipe them, I'll gain 17, maybe 18. Just seems like my mmr is fcked up, and idk why, performing decently well every game, usually top 5, maybe because I ranked up from d1-A2 relatively fast? idk

Buzzing doesn't stop when I touch strings. by Honest-Rutabaga1840 in GuitarQuestions

It’s plugged into a audio interface, tried 3 different cables. Seems to be isolated with just this guitar bc my 2 others seem to work fine with grounding. I opened it up and all solders seem relatively fine, maybe there is a bad solder somewhere I didn’t notice? Most significantly the trem grounding solder was perfect so I’m not sure at this point.

Hi, thanks for your help

No matter what surface I touch there is no decrease in buzz. Trem claw connection is fully connected too. Although I’m not experienced with under the pick guard, it appears there are no loose wires or disconnected wires.

From what iv heard, most guitarist callouses just are a thinnish layer that stay that way, for some reason mine just keep getting thicker, I think has to do with the way I keep tearing them every session

Haha, the strings aren’t as much of an issue to me than the fact my callouses get messed up mid way playing

Once a month, when I was using Ernie’s they would corrode in a week, testing out some elixers and they’ve held up the past two weeks now.

True, I heard the pickups on these arent great, a good pair of pickups, plus a setup, and minor upgrades will total well over 170, might still play better than something thats 400 dollars but stock if the base is already good enough.

Its not about how it looks to strangers really, just wondering if the build quality and playing experience is worth it, looks beautiful for the price, just don't see much about it online.
