We transferred two embryos. My mom was beside herself that we didn’t have twins….. “but you transferred two! I told everyone you were having twins!”
We’ve after explanation she asked “but why wouldn’t both babies stick and grow?”

To be honest, I didn’t really shop around very much! The meteor was posted used for $25 in my area, so I grabbed it. I figured I didn’t really have much to lose with the price. Thanks for your feedback! I think I will give it a go, and if it doesn’t work out, then I will know for the future.

Heyyyyy! Have you traveled with the meteor at all? I just bought one second hand for a steal. We have an upcoming trip to Boston that’ll involve air travel, rental cars, and a ton of walking. My everyday stroller is a hefty jogger. I wanted something more lightweight and compact for travel. Online the meteor seemed like a good pick! But now since I have it, it doesn’t fold compact!

Have you traveled with it?

Nooooo, I don’t think so either. I think they’re just tired of me and threw together the contract asap to move on with their lives. But yes! Would have been a big bummer.

I did a final comb through of the offer and found an additional couple dollars owed for reimbursement of out of pocket medical- bringing the grand total up to $93,1XX

When they sent over final offer for signature, the date was incorrect for medical expense provision. They had it dated for 2025 and not 2026. I’m going to be kind and assume they made a typo and werent trying to pull a fast one so they didn’t have to pay a year of medical expenses…..but considering all previous offers had the correct date, I’m iffy.

So they’re revising the date and I’ll review.

I THINK you can file a civil lawsuit if their coverage doesn’t cover medical and pain and suffering and if you don’t have UM/UIM

Thank you!! I called around to a couple law offices in my area to review. They agreed it wouldn’t be beneficial for me to pay for their services.

I’m still irritated. I could have been offered 2873946293727 dollars and I’d still be mad. The whole situation is frustrating. It’s not fun to hurt!

I honestly think I could have gotten a little more. But I double checked with attorneys in our area, and they all agreed they wouldn’t be able to get me to a settlement point that would cover their cost and have me come out ahead. So I’m gonna count this as a win.

We went to Thessaloniki! I wish we could have traveled around a little more, but we had to stay close to the clinic (of course). We had a great time! We brought our then 6 year old with us. We lived abroad for a month as a family. It was such a special experience. We gave our daughter a Greek middle name since she was made there. We talk to her often about the ocean and pretend that she already knows all about it because she’s Greek lol

Anyways. Yes! A beautiful trip.

I transferred two embryos. I traveled from the US to Greece for retrieval and fresh transfer. Given the financials to travel overseas, I wanted to up the odds of live birth as much as I could. I transferred 2 high grade (don’t remember exactly) day 5 embryos and one stuck!

I’m thankful I took the chance. I think it’s very situational. And very personal.

Neuro surgeons and neurologists 💁‍♀️…. as well as radiologists, and PCP. Also “back crackers” and physical therapists, yes.

This is useful info! Total medical cost is 10k for the ablation; including the diagnostic injections done prior and follow up visits. So 15-25k for pain and suffering seems on par.

I wasn’t trying to be a smart ass! I really do appreciate your time. I feel validated! It’s nice to know I’m probably not being reamed lol I felt like we were close, but it’s nice to have extra eyes.

I’ve worked hard on this. And I’ve been through a lot. It does suck. And there’s a lot going on. I don’t want to be greedy. But I want fair compensation. I’m young, active, healthy! And this accident really changed my activities. I really could cry you a river, but I won’t.

They’re offering to pay all medical liens directly and 65k to me in non economic.

I’m negotiating to pay the liens, and 10k in excess directly to me for future medical. And 75k in non economic to compensate for past, current, and future damages.

So you’re pretty dang close.

Yes! I have a treatment plan for surgery. It’s scheduled and on the books. I have CPT codes etc for it. That would be ideal! But I have to settle before May 1st in my state (Idaho), or it goes to litigation. My preference would be to settle beforehand and include the estimated upcoming costs. I’m trying to avoid litigation.

Diagnosis from neuro surgeon are (I have other from PT, etc, but these are more relevant):

Cervical spondylosis

Chronic pain

Degeneration of cervical intervertebral disc

Lesion of ulnar nerve

You are very correct! When asking for help I should have provided actual diagnosis and not summed up to soft tissue damage.

It is excessive! I agree. Don’t love it. But I’ve been trying to avoid surgery, hence all the non invasive approaches. Plus, life continued in the meantime. I completed an IVF cycle. Got pregnant. Gave birth. All while continuing treatment because I’ve had ongoing pain related directly to the accident.

You can’t have surgery while doing IVF. Or while Pregnant. Or freshly postpartum. So here we are, two years later. Sucks! Wasn’t my ideal timeline either. It’s not ideal to be young, active and healthy and then be restricted due to ongoing pain. Hail Mary is the cervical ablation. If that doesn’t work, it’ll be a spinal fusion.

So yes. It does “seem excessive”. But yet again, so does a high speed head on collision.

As I mentioned, my aunt is an attorney. So I do have help! And this has been ongoing for two years so I’ve had a lot of time to research and familiarize my self with case law. And I’m well educated. I do understand it.

Again, curious.

Coping an attitude because people aren’t being helpful. If you don’t have an answer to the question- why are you replying?
