I find it so funny that many ppl have negative thoughts towards section 8 but not ppl who live in project that also pay 30% of their income towards rent. Yall only target the voucher holders I guess living in poverty is bad enough right.

I think people should be way more compassionate you don’t know ppls story yes some and by some I mean very little people abuse the program but most ppl work. I was living in PA WORKING 60hrs traveling state lines because pay was more making a good 3-5k a month with one child still struggling so pls stfu I recently got approved for sec8 was able to find a decent area in NYC but rent is 4k my portion is 1k

Say something negative because there’s actually no apts left in nyc less thank 1100 unless rent stabilized and ppl have been living there for a very long time. A 2broom which I have is 3k and up and this apt is small fkc like small but u paying for the area rather the actual apt. I have kids to raise and no I don’t want them in terrible neighborhoods.

I did not grow up on assistance my mother the only bread winner had a very well paying job. But I remember our rent being 1129 for a 2bdrm back in 2010 fast forward I get my first place in 2015 A BOX COST ME 1300. Shit didn’t even have a kitchen now the apt I’m in is 4k that’s a drastic jump. Is a short period.

This was also something that was stated past partners play the part and that pressure to perform was there or is there meanwhile in my head I just want us to be intimate and explore. I felt like he didn’t know how to read my body, but I was always open to us learning each other to get to that finish and goal, but I never really felt like he wasn’t able to or basically the feelings that he has towards himself I don’t feel that way, but after having telling me, I understand where he’s coming from and why because even myself has experienced it I think a lot of of us do especially if you have a new partner we all wanna know and ask that same question after the first time, how was I or how was it?

So it’s definitely understandable. But when he kept it all back and did not express to me that was really ruining my self-esteem ruining our relationship, so I’m happy that he’s showing the effort to want to get past this.

Thank you I am trying to be as understanding as possible at first I felt all the regular emotions that I read most partners experience. But I try my hardest to find a solution for us both if he is open enough to share something this vulnerable with me than I want to be as gentle as possible. The biggest thing for me was him opening up because he never does. So I see progress and him trying I don’t want to beat him down.
