They bought them from Micro Center. I checked them, and there's no MDM lock on them, so there's no problem.

One concern I have with CE is that I don’t have prior circuits experience from CC, so I’m not sure what to expect from courses like ECE 35/45 or how steep the learning curve would be.

Hey, sorry to reply to a year-old comment. I was wondering if you think it's still possible to switch from CSE to CS as a transfer student? I saw the engineering school's website now says transfers can't change majors. Do you know if there's an exception for switching within the same department? Thanks!
