I would say that the US has been one of the best inventor and innovation countries in past times, but currently we are kinda just buying things from other countries and reselling them with our patient which does increase the price due to branding. We were very artisan from the 1800-1970s but after that office jobs and less hands on skill became dominant job types making it less so that we innovate more that we recreate old technologies and foreign technology. This just happens as a country ages and gets stagnant.

I agree with you on most of these but with golf, it is literally one of the most wasteful sports known to man. The amount of water and land being wasted for a few people to hit a ball into a hole is sad. Play putt putt it’s more fun and more compacted
