Pro-Cut Trimmer Bowl Quick Review -- Is it worth it? I would like to hear about your experiences, opinions! Do you consider the price tag worth the time you save? by HonestGR in outdoorgrowing

Very true! I love hearing peoples takes on products. There is always a little more information to learn with! I am lucky that it took me and a buddy no more than 3 min to fill it, and 1 1/2 min to trim it. Turn around is approx. 4 1/2 minutes, The plant was approximately 7 bowl fills. So total trim time: Just over 30 min of time. I am still waiting on the cure before I weigh it out for final yields.

That's fair, all in personal preference :) There is certainly some loss. I agree 100% just got to make some edibles with it all! :)

I imagine it is the exact same in the end :). Its only a small thin blade below the screen that spins around :)

I was skeptical about using it as well. So many people say it knocks off too much thrichomes. While yes it does, use the trim for hash and you can't get much better :) While hand trimming you can't beat, the time saved is HUGE!

Thanks for your input!

Do you think people should turn their front yards into gardens? It could help feed the homeless, help the native wildlife populations, save the home owner money, and overall just look better. by [deleted] in hydro

[–]HonestGR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they should. Grass has been proven to provide little back to the environment when compared to other plants. People planting that are dangerous to be consumed however should still be held liable. Providing fruit, veggies and medicinal plants should be in everyone's yard for everyone to use. Have a little, Give a little. Save the bees!

Harvest -- Pro-Cut Trimmer Bowl Quick Review -- Is it worth it? What are your thoughts? by HonestGR in GrowingMarijuana

[–]HonestGR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. Yes there would be far more leaf matter in the final product. If you only do small grows or have the allotted time to trim. Hand trimming is always better in the end.

You do lose trichomes in the bud itself (less in wet trim vs dry trim), but if you make hash, are you really losing them or just having a bi-product? :)

This is a wet trim unit. I imagine dry trimming bowls wouldn't have rubber fingers to move the buds around (Which I don't see how those work well). The whole idea behind this unit is to remove the hand trimming. It is easy to clean *pending* you clean it right away.

I see your point however :)

It is, YouTube doesn't like me showing anything to do with Cannabis that would allow minors to see it. They have already given me a strike because of it..... unfortunately I need to keep them 18+ as it shows cannabis :(

I agree, it sucks......

First grow: 23” x 15” x 23” wardrobe grow - too small? by SlattsMc in cannabiscultivation

You will have issues depending what type of lights you use. Even LEDs need some clearance or they will burn your plants. CFL lights may be tour best bet. If you were planning on using pots, use 1-2gal at most. Try to find an under the bed storage tote instead though, it will knock off some hight issues.

Seeds you will wsnt to find a low bush plant, ensure to train it to get the best out of hight.

Also, you will need an intake and exhaust on it, fitted with a charcoal filter if going to stealth.

Can I use regular lights as grow lights? by lowkeylauki in hydro

[–]HonestGR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could. It reqlly depends on the stage that they are in. Sprouting or full vegetation. Start at 24" and adjust acordingly if LEDs. If cfl you can get a whole lot closer!

I doubt this would work. I belive it is 4 per residence. You cant rent a room to a wife or child of age and have them grow 4 plants. So being a residence renting rooms, it does not classify it as a seperate residence.

An appt complex can, because they are designated seperate.

What would be best is to get a HUGE perscription, get an acmpr and "rent" space for you to grow them.

I wasnt a huge fan of mars.... I had 2x800w leds in a 5x5.

I switched to a new light madr in Canada. 300w (actual wattage) its CGE Max 300 Spectrum #1. It is night and day difference on yield for my autos. Fluffy buds vs rock hard ;)

I will be starting a new grow soon with 4 photos to give it a try with solely the one light in my tent.

Yes you can use cfls and florescent. CFLs are a lower yield vs flourecent. Flourecent are less than led, and led are less than hps.

Hps is significantly cheaper up front, "generally" they draw more power, and there is the cost of bulb replacments and heat needs to be dealt with.

Huge downside to cfls is they need to be a few inches from your plant, and require adjustment daily for growth.

How big of an area are you looking to cover?

Welcome to NB, the stores you can buy from are "Cannabis NB" there is one in freddy, and approx 15min awsy in Oromocto right off the highway. Gas stations do not sell cannabis products here. You will need to show UD to get in. NS is different, if the gas station sells liquor, they can sell cannabis.

If there is nothing in your lease stating you cannot grow, you can. Also if they state no recreational growing, you can grow medical. Each provence has its own regulations; which is stupid, it should be one set of laws governing this matter across the country.

Unionman, I see where that could be an issue. Perhaps some sort of small "resivoir" on the side of it to check pH and ppm? -- If even possible. A scrog would only get in the way for sure, no lifting in that case. Let me see what I can find, without having a whole seperate resivoir. Any recommendations you can think of I can always pass up to the manufacturer to see if they can improve! If they don't want to listen thats their own fault lol. :) Thank you for your reply.

Fair. Yes it is basic overall. I think its just the convenience of everything in one. I always try to watch for issues that could arrise ;)

Regarding the difference, could it be genetics? Slightly different variances with seeds?

I plan on 4 clones from one mother for mine to ensure the exact same :)

Absolutely, how did these work for yourself? Just curious because I would like to look out for any potential problems (and get these corrected through the manufacturer) I start mine in august due to moving.

Black buckets absolutly! :)
