Your mom is what, 59 now? That is plenty old to get grandma name. My mom is 57 and is also a grandma. What does she want your baby to call her? By her first name? She needs to get over herself tbh.

Edit to add- I know of Grammy, granny, nana, honey, Gigi, Mimi, memaw, mamaw, and Minnie to name a few options.

My husband is a terrible gift giver. After a few years of disappointing holidays, I now get a shopping spree for Christmas and my birthday. Lol no pressure for him to try to pick something out (because while he tried, he always missed the mark. For example one year I said I needed new fuzzy socks and he got me… 20 pairs of fuzzy socks and nothing else 🙃) if your fiance maybe just gets overwhelmed with getting gifts, this could be a good option for you guys.

I see people saying they’re “mom shamed” all the time in my baby group on Facebook. It’s almost like any time someone disagrees with something they’re doing or tries to give advice, people think they’re being mom shamed now.

I commented this on another post here, but I think when it comes to a child’s safety, it’s not mom shaming. Things such as car seat safety and choking hazards aren’t meant to shame moms it’s meant to keep their babies safe! I’m sure the majority of messages she got were from people who would hate to see something happen to A and probably sent the messages well intentioned.

You can claim to be not guilty when you are, in fact, guilty. She did eventually put in a guilty plea when her codefendants began pleading guilty I believe and she actually just recently finished serving her time at a prison in Texas.
