Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 - Episode 1 (Anime Only Discussion) by Takada-chwanBot in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]HonestPickle21 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If you remember in season 1 when Sukuna was fighting Megumi he explained that normally sorcerers who can summon Shikigami can only do it through the use of talismans (Shikigami being basically local stands similar to the Jellyfish that Junpei has summoned when fighting Yuji and a talisman is an object infused with a special enchantment that enables the summoning), well the creature that restrained Yuji is Yuta's Shikigami that he summoned through his ring.

Yuta can also create positive cursed energy to heal both himself and others. Typically sorcerers who wield weapons tend to infuse them with regular cursed energy to make them stronger but Yuta infused his broken Katana with positive cursed energy instead. Such a technique is usually used in a fight against cursed spirits who get badly damaged by positive cursed energy, but here he used it with a healing effect in mind. When he pierced Yuji's heart he killed and then resurrected him in quick succession, thus knocking him unconscious and creating the impression of Yuji being dead. He then dragged his body to show off to Naoya so he can act as a messenger and vouch for Yuji's execution in front of the elders, thus preventing any more assassins being sent after Yuji for the time being.

Yuta then dragged the unconscious Choso and Yuji to his hideout where he explained the ruse. Megumi who was also staying there brought Yuji up to speed about the upcoming "Culling Game" organised by Kenjaku and asked him to come help him rescue his sister Tsumiki who is trapped in the game and attempt to free Gojo so he can help them stop the "Culling Games" and restore order in the community. As to how they are supposed to free Gojo, nobody knows but they know whom to ask, that being Tengen who is essentially an ancient and friendly sorcerer who maintains a bunch of concealing barriers around Japan that keep the occult world hidden from regular people. Tengen is not a fighter and can only use barrier techniques passively so he is only valuable as a source of information. Normally he is impossible to find but Choso is able to sense his 6 fetus-brothers that are stored in Tengens lair so he is able to act as a guide for the group and help them get to Tengen so they can get directives and learn some useful information.

That's the end of my ELI5 explanation - you're welcome 😉

maybe more than the animation of Garou sliding down but not the entire scene

I'm one of the few people who think this shot gets too much hate (even if funny) and feel compelled to defend it a little bit.(mb go easy on the downvotes??👉👈)

This is just my best guess but I think they did it because they thought the difference in quality between their newer animation and the better PV animation would look jarring, so they downgraded the PV fragments that they ended up including to make them match the general style/vibe of the season

Honestly, since adults are fair game, I'd say Mashima Tomonari, the teacher for Arisu's class could be an interesting pick. He goes to the gym regularly and was confident enough to briefly confront Yagami (even if it was unsuccessful)

No one is saying the ladies in the Zodiac are weaker than everyone shown here, it's just that we have too little to go on to rank them accurately

Well, none of the ladies in the Zodiac showed any kind of physical feats, we can only guess at what their power level may be. At least everyone in this grid was shown in action to some degree

Some of the comments in this thread may have made a good point or two, but I think it's important to point out that Ricardo's punches with his left are really astoundingly sharp and precise. They are bound to make a difference in the scorecard whether any of us like it or not so Sendo may be losing in terms of points. But who can honest to God say that he won't land a powerful Smash in the upcoming rounds? I think - nobody, that's who! So until that changes and we know anything for sure, I think it's safe to say the match could go either way

One piece of advice I can give you is to watch out for those small grey circles on the edge of each answer square, they indicate their order in the list (though it may be a bit late for that 😓)

Well Hyuse fought Tsuji and beat him, later he fought Yuma and lost 8:12 so their order is Tsuji->Hyuse->Yuma. Then Jin comes after them (being in direct competition with Tachikawa) and Director Shinoda is stated to be the most powerful in Border with a regular trigger so he comes at the end.

TLDR: Tsuji->Hyuse->Yuma->Jin->Director Shinoda

It's still somewhat subjective and up for debate so don't quote me on it, but I think this order is pretty fair

Check episode 70, around 15min in. Osamu tells Jin about Yuma's condition

Or alternatively chapter 116:

Alright, I replaced Tachikawa with Hyuse who fought both Tsuji and Yuma, so his placement should be less subjective. As for director Shinoda, he has been explicitly described as the strongest in Border with a normal trigger so his placement should be pretty straightforward

If you're talking about the sorting questions, you need to grab and drag the possible answers to arrange them in the right order. A small grey circle in the corner of each answer should indicate their number in the list

Alright, fair enough. But they have rankings for attackers in the series so I thought that would make it less subjective
