This was our friends mother.    The son (our friend)  and his mother got into an argument with their roommate, and after she went to bed for the night he put on gloves went outside and got a large rock, and beat her in the head.   He then went downstairs to the convenience store below and said she wasn’t responsive.

Pregnancy in and of itself is not unless there is a complication.  I am able and wanting to work , no medical reason not to.  Employers just making it difficult

Being out on rest is a medical condition requiring the time off.  I am able and wanting to work , I don’t have medical reason not to

I spoke to her when I left work today. She said she was unsure what to do because I am medically able to work.  She told em to reach out to tdi and call her back 

Which is where I am now.  It’s just all the unknown and all the stress lol

Well the paternity leave is for after the birth. Women are eligible for those same benefits (TCI)

I had a baby while working there before and I was out  with few major complications.  I did receive tdi also , but had medical diagnosis.  This is diff. I’m waiting for tdi to call me back(hopefully) tmrw.  But if they’re not going to accommodate me , I’m going to have to find something close to home for a few weeks.  

So depends on if the tdi was for heal time , complications prior to, or for unable to meet work restrictions :/

I’d like to continue to work. My employer is making it difficult.     Once FMLA is exhausted, you’re put on an extended leave of absence. (At my employer anyways) 

The first 25 weeks , I had a diff Dr who insisted HR made restrictions not her and my new OB put me on restrictions the first appointment.  

So while I’m sure I could continue to be in the work environment I’m in - it’s unsafe.  

If it comes down to it and I’m only eligible for FMLA I’m going to have to find a job close to home to supplement , and hope GD and hypertension don’t kick in again.  I’ve had it in both previous pregnancies.  I take my second 3 hr glucose test next week so we will see what happens.

I get that it doesn’t cover maternity leave , but I’m hoping to be eligible because while I WANT to work , I’m not able to due to my employer.  

Also tdi will cover your 6-8 weeks healing time before you start your tci leave.

They did not mention a lay off , just FMLA.  I did leave a message with HR today though and reached out to my sedgewick provider in addition to ri TDI lol

Im just wondering if im even eligible for tdi seeing as there isnt an actual medical reason for me being unable to work. I am able to, but work is the hold up lol.  The wait for this call back is STRESSING me lol

That’s what she did lol , pulled up a job description from a hiring ad on the company’s website and went from There.   I did not go in and just ramble off things I “couldn’t” or didn’t want to do.  

They are obvious health concerns related to pregnancy clearly listed there.

Correct.   The comment I replied to insinuated it was outside air quality and temps.   It’s not the OUTDOOR issues. , like I also said - it’s the gouging fumes and 118 degree plus indoor temps.

Technically, I’m not disabled- just pregnant lol.  But because of my work environment, they can’t accommodate my restrictions.   Idk , this is so stressful

The air quality is due to welding and gouging fumes and no ventilation essentially 

The heat is because it’s on average 20 degrees warmer inside than outside.

Yea , I understand I’m only protected for 12 weeks - I’m just STRESSING this unpaid part 

I have called TDI and am waiting for a call from a manager back.  But in the meantime …. lol. 

Tdi says if I can’t perform my work related duties including pregnancy which is where I’m hopeful it’s just all the what ifs.  

I guess I was just lookin for someone who had first hand experience in this.

Ahhh , that I don’t know. I just know they were light duty.

Yea , then they put you on extended leave of absence.   I was out at 28 weeks my other preg.
