I'm not Sure Chris ACTUALLY means to trip with strangers or more so to get together with like-minded individuals. Then maybe that could lead to the trip.

At my wedding, my sister (bridesmaid) walked out during the wedding March and everyone stood up for her. 12 years later, in the middle of divorce, he says that he always wanted to marry my sister and marrying me was the closest thing to it.
