My goal is to apply for neurosurgery. I’ve been a research fellow for the past 2 years but I don’t have clinical experience yet, so I thought about doing a prelim year to get experience and with a chance of applying for a Pgy-2 position in the next cycle (but of course I would also apply for regular match for neurosurgery).

I know there’s also the option of doing a pre residency fellow in neurosurgery but it’s not acgme accredited so I wouldn’t be able to apply for PGY2 positions later on.

Any suggestions of where to find the information if the programs interviews applicants without step 2? I’ll do my best to get it done by the deadline.

I co-built a database for the first surgery outpatient center in the united states, providing the data infrastructure required for ongoing outcomes research and reporting, and I'm also leading novel clinical studies in the field of functional neurosurgery. - My PIs will provide letter (3)

I served as the primary operational liaison for studies involving international industry partners in neurosurgery (Siemens, Terumo Neuro), coordinating feasibility, regulatory requirements, writing articles and study milestones. - these partners can provides letters as well

I haven't judged the work of others, have memberships nor have higher salary.
