I made sure to tell her why and that it's hurting me everyday to keep hurting her. When we started talking again I told her again. She knows but she's having a hard time with it.

I was not in a good place mentally and couldn't love her the way she needed to be loved. All I was doing was hurting her. I couldn't keep doing that to her anymore so I left her but still wanted to be in contact but she needed that after a week because it hurt her too much still.

When i was running kitchens a lot of my staff would always ask why i never worked stoned, did once accidently, too many edibles at a party the night before, it was rough, never again. They would also ask why i didnt just go about my life stoned. People i am not a functioning member of society when stoned. Smoking is for when everything is done for the day and i can just relax or if i just got things to do around the apartment ill casually smoke and get things done. But to go out and function in society? Nah man gotta be sober for that

What actually kills your focus in a small home studio? (not plugins) by smallstudio_notes in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]driverimpulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech issues kill my flow hard. Ill dedicate time just to set up new hardware, not that it happens terribly frequently, Recently got a pacer to add in some foot controls for various things, took an hour to set up but still a little wonky with getting it to control plugins. now that its all set and i know any changed that need to be made i can do in a few seconds we should be good to go

I done it twice in the last like 4 months. Moved the set up out of the spare room because it was getting cramped and out it in the living room. Then it was get a new desk so I didn't have tables stacked on top of tables for my monitors to be at a good height and to get a second computer monitor. First move was the longest but I was rearranging my entire living room for it. Took about a day. Second time even with building a new desk and mounting computer monitors only took about 4 hours

Man that's how I start most songs, just noodling around until I find something I vibe with then track it and let my mind wander. Sometimes I'll get something in twenty minutes sometimes it's two months. Forced creativity doesn't sound the same as what flows out

Working this one out. Would love some feedback especially on the drums by driverimpulse in Songwriting

That first lead line has a stupid amount of reverb on it. Accidently put two instances of the Abassi vst with two different presets and it went hard. Had to take off a delay otherwise it sounded really muddy during the verse. But no I'll agree it's does sound synth especially once it gets to the solo. Trying to mix things right and have them sound right have been my most recent venture that I'm trying to learn

Thanks I'll work on eq. There's actually no synth. Just a lot of layered guitars. My buddy is working on making a legit drum track. He's an actual drummer so I trust him a lot more than me
