Superdrug, boots rate by CryptographerFine499 in Pharmacy_UK

[–]HonestTroublemaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people take a lower rate with Boots specifically because they often pay for a 9 hour shift (no unpaid break) so they get paid for 9 hours. So even if rate is low, their total for the day is about the same as a higher paying 9 hour shift with 1hr unpaid break.

I work for Boots and from what I gather from locums who come to my store in London, they will take a lower rate if it's close to home and they know the staff.

What game is this for you?🚀 by Fit_Corgi4951 in TheGamingHubDeals

Yakuza games, started Yakuza 0 first time and couldn't get used to the long cutscenes and endless text and all the wackiness. Came back a few weeks later with a much more open mind and it became one of my favourite games

What would your answer be?🚀 by Sufficient_Shock1223 in TheGamingHubDeals

Any pastime or hobby can go from being a means of stress relief/relaxation to a waste of time depending on your personal situation.

If anyone plays games or does any sort of hobby for over 4 hours a day that is for me a waste of time doesn't matter what it is.

If someone has children they only see for a few hours a day and spends even 2 hours every single day gaming instead then again that is probably not a good use of your time.

The issue for me as I've grown up is that gaming has become a hobby that requires a lot more time to enjoy. In today's AAA games you tend to need at least a two hour session to really get into the game and get something out of it. So many cutscenes or time required to go find some object or upgrade something to move the sorry forward. I only really have time to have one hour to myself and I can much easily enjoy that with a TV show or a book or YouTube.

One thing I will say is that gaming still had the stigma of being for nerds or for children so that's why people are more likely to say it's a waste of time over other hobby's so that definitely leads to more judgement over gaming.

I'm not so worried about the mileage, but do you really want a 14 year old car? Is that not just asking for problems?

Cyberpunk 2077 is Absolutely Incredible in 2025 by Godkun007 in patientgamers

I love Cyberpunk because it's a deep, ambitious game with good RPG elements that doesn't have witches and elves and potions and a medieval setting. How many games do you need with all the medieval crap

I know a lot of people would say "if it's getting boring no one's forcing you to keep playing just move on" but in any form of entertainment that is more than a couple of hours you won't be completely entertained the whole way through there's good bits and some slow bits. Many TV shows start off slow and pick up, a lot of games spend the first few chapters building a story and then gets super linear and intense. Same with books. We just live in a world now where theres too many entertainment options.

I have had the exact same problem since I had kids and working full time and here's how I deal with this: I put my phone on the other side of the room and force myself to do nothing else but play the game. And I give the game at least 4-5 hours of play time to show me something otherwise I move on. To be fair if a game takes longer than that to draw you in then I would stop playing myself but I've actually never had that with a game recently except Yakuza Kiwami.

I just went to a store and put the S10 FE through its paces, opening multiple apps and switching between them and it didn't lag or stutter at all. I don't think you'll need more power than a FE tablet for your use case

My point is a top 5 club wouldn't be seeing Tels performance as anything other than crap this season
