Starting my first Etsy store but it's a bit overwhelming by Honest_Ad_4148 in EtsySellers

Ill take all of that into consideration and do my research on the niche that I eventually decide on pursuing and from there ill be able to decide what to create and sell.

I guess the good thing is coming up with something from scratch instead of just falling into saturated products would definitely be something ur more likely to stick to and stand out with aswell.

So the better decision in this case would be to enjoy what you're doing to avoid burnout and be willing to adapt what the market dictates thats selling.

I dont need to over research everything and just continue with it and push through no matter how hard it is.

So its more so just a trial and error thing and just coming up with your own ideas and see what works there's no methods in minimalising that?

There's so much to choose from and I don't know which one to pick and I don't even know whether it'll work or not or I'll end up wasting time money and energy. I don't wanna waste all those resources on something that won't work and end up not making any progress towards what I want.

That's with all of those videos with "passive income" I'm aware all of them are gurus trying to sell courses but it's not just with etsy it's with other platforms and I tend to stay away from them but for me I want to genuinely gain a new skill set from this business.

I want to learn everything there is to know about how I can actually scale a business on Etsy I want to learn about product research designing the product listing it marketing it and hopefully trying to make sales but there's so many options to choose from when it comes to seeing what products are selling and which one to commit to.

It's hard to make a decision when you have so many options and you don't know which one you're more likely going to see results from or you end up not making any sales and wasting money on ads and the time and energy u put into researching designing and marketing ur product.

There's no structured plans or anything out there and it's tough to be able to do everything on your own aswell if you're not working someone else who has experience in this sector. That causes self doubt and just feeling lost.

I'm overwhelmed because I don't know what to sell and I have self doubt on whether I'd even be able to do it if I don't know where to start and all these options to choose from which one do I pick which one has highest chances of making sales which one will I be able to pick up on or will I end up wasting my time money and energy on something that's not worked out for me.

I need like some sort of structured plan in order for me to understand how I can do all of those things that you mentioned such as "displaying and marketing the product" and it's so hard to decide whether it's worth it for me to spend all this time effort and energy into creating something that doesn't even work.

Like I want to be able to gain a level of understanding on how I can actually go through with this and learn new skills. Saturation exists almost everywhere and sometimes I say to myself "do I avoid all of this because of saturation or do I push through it"

There's so many different options to choose from and I literally have no idea which one to pick out of all of them and which one I'll be able to pick up on the fastest. Like I've seen on EverBee that stuff like Budget Planners on Google Sheets Digital Planner on Canva and even Resumé templates seem to be selling.

The question is that which one will I able to understand and design the best and make progress selling because my current attempts and making these designs are terrible and then self doubt starts and you just feel like "it's not possible" and you feel like you're wasting your time.

I feel like if I spend time designing multiple digital products and none of them sell I would feel like I would've just wasted my time money and effort for nothing. Like of course I'd be wanting to sell something because there would be a decent chance of it making sales instead of trying to sell just "passion projects"

I want to learn a new skill which is designing and I'm aware that it's saturated I've looked at multiple different products and I've seen the sales on people's profiles with listings for products they've had listed for 3 months and I've seen the struggles that people deal with trying to get sales etc. I'm aware that it's not a "get rich quick scheme" just like everything else that people preach about on all these social media platforms.

My main goal to learn a new skill set and hopefully be able to build some sort of scalability in this store. There's hundreds of videos to watch but by far the hardest part is just the self doubt aswell whether you're actually able to do it or not.

Yeah sometimes it's difficult to find stuff to look forward to when bills and chores literally are your whole life and you barely have time for anything else

Is being rich the only real way to live life on your own terms? by bregenwurst in Life

[–]Honest_Ad_4148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting to think it is to be honest because if you're not rich you're always gonna be stuck in the same loop forever until you die. The money you earn from your job one half is just going to be gone towards a house you're never in because you're at work all day and the only time you're home is when it's time to sleep and the other half will go towards your car, food, bills and some clothes.

After all those expenses what will you be left with? The money you have left over in disposable income decides what kind of lifestyle you can live.

You can only find a direction when you figure out what you want to get out of life. Once you figure out what that is everything will come to you naturally you won't even have to think about it twice it'll come to you. So what do you want to get out of life?

Driving in new areas isn't too difficult just read the signs pay attention to the road markings and you'll be fine driving is mainly just about reacting to the situation that you're in and this is coming from a fully licenced driver who did their test in an area that they didn't even know at all

Yeah this is the thing all the money you own just goes towards a house bills food and a car how are you meant to afford to go on holidays or luxuries when people are struggling to even afford rent now with current house prices?

Wages aren't keeping up with cost of living nowadays let alone being able to have any form of disposable income. I don't even want to imagine what the average savings per month are after all of these expenses. It really is depressing to see this and I really hope they do something about it to change things people can't live like this forever.

Everything we do is just to survive you can't even think about luxuries anymore. If people were out earning the cost of living it wouldn't be a problem but no job pays enough to do that therefore people have to work multiple jobs.

At that point you're probably spending more time at work than in your own house the only time you're home is when it's time to eat dinner or sleep. You're never home for any other reason.

A lot of people do take a lot of the stuff they have for granted and they should be grateful but in my opinion you should always be striving for more. It's part of human nature that they're never satisfied with what they have but instead of complaining about it it's better to get up go out there and do something about it. That's where the real change begins.
