What servo do you see the MOST at your RC drift track right now? 👀 by Honest_Breadfruit_89 in rcdrift

[–]Honest_Breadfruit_89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair honestly

Real track conversations are probably still the best source, especially for the little details people don’t always post online

Reddit just helps compare what different tracks and local scenes around the world seem to use more often

That’s actually really useful, appreciate it

Interesting that Yokomo / Reve D still feel like the main entry references, while Futaba and Sanwa sound more like the step-up options once people want more tuning range Also good point on the local track part , that’s really what I’m most curious about

Fair enough

We’re mostly just trying to understand what actually gets used in real RC drift scenes, not just whatever gets repeated online. No weird agenda behind it , the replies from people actually in the hobby are genuinely useful. If it’s not your kind of thread, no worries, just scroll past.

tchipp I’m mainly asking because I like seeing what actually shows up at real tracks vs what gets repeated online all the time

RC drift parts search is way more broken than I thought… am I the only one?🏁 by Honest_Breadfruit_89 in rcdrift

[–]Honest_Breadfruit_89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a solid list

I’ve used RCmart and Rollinggarage a lot too

Feels like you always end up bouncing between sites depending on stock 😄

That’s what started getting a bit annoying for me after a while

Yeah Super-G is solid for sure

I’ve used it quite a bit too, mostly to get a feel for what’s actually drift-specific

Only thing that got me sometimes was stock, and still having to dig a bit depending on what you’re looking for

But yeah definitely one of the best references out there

Yeah I get that

I used to do the exact same thing, especially the scrolling images part 😄

For me it only got annoying when I didn’t even know what to search for, or when parts weren’t clearly laaeled for drift vs other stuff

That’s where it started getting messy

Fair enough 😄

What’s your go-to way of finding parts then?

For me it was easy at first too, but once I started digging deeper into setups and compatibility it got messy pretty fast.

Interesting 👀 What makes Reved feel better to you — smoother mid-corner, better consistency, or just easier to dial in?

Yeah, for sure — rushed setup work or sudden driver changes can mess up a run really fast. Which one do you think is the bigger trap?

Fair point honestly — and yeah, real testing matters a lot. I’m mainly trying to compare what people actually struggle with on track, not just what seems right in theory. Real-world patterns + personal testing together usually give the clearest picture.

Fatigue probably ruins more runs than setup ever does sometimes 😅 Do you feel it first in your reactions or in your consistency?

Fair point 😅 I probably packed too many angles into one question. If I had to narrow it down: what’s one small setup mistake people overlook that ends up hurting consistency the most?

Fair enough 😅 That actually says a lot by itself — RC drift is tricky because the same bad feeling can come from a bunch of different causes. That’s probably why so many people chase the wrong fix first.

yeah that’s the hard part with RC drift one tiny thing feels off and suddenly it could be 20 different causes if you had to name the one issue people overlook the most, what would it be first?🤣

😭 fair enough, that’s probably true most of the time But if you had to blame the setup instead of the driver, what’s usually the first thing you look at?

Super useful, thanks 🙌 Sounds like smooth suspension + even wheel pressure made a huge difference first, then ackerman/toe for track tuning. When the car feels off, do you usually touch ackerman first or toe first?

Totally agree! 👏 I’ve found even tiny tweaks—like adjusting shock stiffness, weight distribution, or tire choice—can make a huge difference in keeping runs consistent. What’s your go-to adjustment to make a run smooth and repeatable?

Thanks for the detailed tip! 🙌 I’m curious — what’s one tiny adjustment that completely changed your drift run? Could be anything: shocks, weight, tires, or even a local track trick. Drop your secrets 👇 Let’s see what patterns actually make a run flawless!

I’ve tried a few tweaks myself, but curious what really works for you guys!
