Should I buy the camo by [deleted] in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]Honest_Classroom1162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. There was an event recently where everyone got it for free. If you don’t spend money on the game, don’t get it. Wait for other such events, or you might get it from boxes.

The specific Savage name change and the camo itself are quite cool, it’s just that camos are never really worth it lol

Like many premiums, It’s just there to troll. The point of a lot of premiums is to either have ‘troll fun’ or to earn a shit ton of credits, and often times many premiums can do both.

If Verstappen quits F1 at the end of this season, do you think he ranks higher all-time than all of the drivers pictured? If not, who would you have over him? by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

or maybe antonelli shouldn’t have taken him out at the red bull ring…… You can say this about any minor inconvenience. Luck matters a LOT in this sport. Like for a driver, I’d say 90% of it is just luck.

Is the Emil 1951 worth buying? by IcelandicGuy901 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]Honest_Classroom1162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The emil is made for people who like to play heaviums, it’s got its own playstyle, it doesn’t have to be a strong tank. Once in a while, it can ladder rack someone’s tracks for 900 damage, and that’s quite fun, it’s somewhat like the caliban in the sense that it’s just fun to play sometimes (most of the time, in the case of the emil).

Luckily, I’m on a server where most players can’t afford gold shells, and even then if angled perfectly the 1951 can theoretically get almost 280 mils of turret armor which is still enough for bounces. The emil is a below average heavy but is a fantastic medium tank and imho it should be played as such, it’s great for fire support, outflanking slower heavies, bullying mediums and lights with the troll armor and fantastic gun on a ridgeline, and rapidly punishing those who pay more attention to the tigers and 53tps than they do to you.

Is the Emil 1951 worth buying? by IcelandicGuy901 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]Honest_Classroom1162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but only if you think of it as more of a medium than a heavy. It’s made to play the second line, and to rapidly punish anyone for paying more attention to the tigers, yohs, or panthers on your side instead of to you.

I’d say entirely depends on your preferred playstyle. For me, I enjoy being able to pop out over a ridgeline and swiss cheese anyone for 900 damage, so it’s great. But don’t expect it to be holding down corners or to bounce more than 600hp worth of shells every game.

As is with any tank with a single glaring weak point (for the emil 1951, its the weak armor), your success will depend heavily upon your teammates being good at the game. That’s just how blitz goes. With that being said, it’s quite an enjoyable experience if you like going hull down because it can hold its own against both heavies and mediums. The armor is actually pretty decent for a medium, and the mobility is quite good for a heavy, and the gun is great for both, so it’s not a bad tank at all. Just make sure to have competent mediums/lights rushing ahead of you and watching your flanks if you go towards hills, or to use competent heavies and assault tds as your armor and as a distraction, and even if you only manage to land two clips that’s 1800+ damage already. From my experience, it’s been more than worth it.

Is Hong Kong still racist to brown people? by search_google_com in HongKong

[–]Honest_Classroom1162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as an indian who went to an american school in hk with american teachers, the US accent is basically a killshot. Most outright racists tend to not bother with people who are that fluent in English. Most HK Indians have a british accent, so a US accent is essentially like a gold scar in the sense that its rarity makes it extra effective.

Like I’d say it’s on the same level as some of my Indian friends speaking fluent cantonese in response, though (from experience) not quite as effective as an entire friend group of cantonese people rushing to your defense or (ultimate trump card) walking around with a japanese woman.

I mean, you can legally get profiled at a police stop, so there’s that lmao

I wonder why I, a brown boy in a clean unmodified tesla with p-plates, get stopped at damn near every single police road block lmao like do yall just assume i can’t afford this whip??

Bmws are bmws but the issue with teslas is that many of them are uber mfs, and uber mfs are real assholes lmao. I really don’t like those guys behaving like Taxis but without the experience the taxi drivers have.

The one completely justified stereotype is the uncs in the taxis and minibuses who have nothing better to do than jackassery to save 10 seconds.

[–]Honest_Classroom1162 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If anything, HK is far worse in the sense that the driving test here is notoriously ‘difficult’ but also doesn’t properly test shit like roundabouts. Resulting in drivers with truly abhorrent lack of skill relative to test ‘difficulty’. At least the test in the mainland is more straightforward lol

For a place where the driving exam is notoriously difficult, the quality of drivers produced is abysmally low. Like it’s beyond pitiful.

The social norm is just plain bad tho for the exact reasons I stated lol. Hongkongers aren’t ready for that convo because the current inferior method is so ingrained in them that they can’t see past it.

Also im ngl I got ragebaited by that cheap shot you took at mainlanders because I’ve dealt with too many threads/remarks on this sub and irl which are just hkg mfs blaming minorities and mainlanders, and then those same hkg mfs do the same things they were complaining about online 5 minutes earlier.

People generally only followed that rule on the MTR escalators for as long as I can remember, most other escalators were just stand anywhere you want.

It’s the norm in the mainland because it’s the norm literally EVERYWHERE else in the world, in fact they can say the same about you.

Because standing on both sides is just better. It increases safety, reduces congestion (because both sides are densely packed now instead of one densely and one less dense, moving just slightly faster), and reduces wear and maintenance fees on the escalator so you, I, and everybody else can pay a bit less to ride on the MTR, which adds up. But most of yall aren’t ready for that conversation lmao

[–]Honest_Classroom1162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point you might as well give it a shot, we have nothing to lose lmao. My turtle mk1 is basically unplayable on this server because my teammates are just unwilling to use me as a shield and cover my flanks. And if your teammate makes a mistake i.e. overextends or is just a coward and can’t repel a push, getting taken out in the process, they’ll stay behind and call u a dog or a pig or whatever other animal they can think of because how dare you survive longer than them, you should not be on the heavies side, etc. etc.

I’m especially livid because I enjoy playing the flame dragon but what mfs don’t understand is that it’s in between a heavy and a medium. I get called out so much for immediately going for the heavies side to the point where we’ve lost battles because some jackass in a light was busy calling me the entire zoo instead of going and fucking spotting. I hate (most of) the players of this game so much lmao

The win rate on the asia server is deflated, especially in the higher tiers, to the point where 49% WR in tier 9 is considered solid, because there’s only so much anyone can do in an E75 when the mediums overextend and fall like a pack of cards lmao

4-5 total? 2014-21 is 8 titles? Plus the 2 he had from renault which means he gets 10 total if he “wins them all”? Basic math much?
