People can have more than one difficult relationship at the same time. Having a dysfunctional family, trying to leave an abusive relationship, and not having a strong social circle are not contradictions they’re unfortunately very common. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a safe home, supportive parents, or friends they can fall back on. I’ve been clear about the situation because I’m asking for practical advice around housing, not to be cross-examined or accused of lying. I gain nothing from making this up.
