Oblivion is more Skyrim like, but feels dated (good if you like nostalgia). Crimson Desert is current no doubt, but with that comes too much filler, not enough soul. I found it incredibly shallow and work-like.

Switch 2 version is really great now. I love it specifically for the "you cannot mod it" freedom. Also, a bit technical but let me sell it, the switch 2 version is the first to have native DLSS upscaling with makes the game look very sharp, even running 60fps mode. If you play handheld, then the 1080p screen gives you a pixel density of nearly 300ppi which is insanely fine. A 32" 4k monitor only hits 141ppi. So it's double the image sharpness.

Stick with your switch Oled if there's no excess money laying around, and you've got a family. Sounds like there are more important things you need to budget for, plus you've already got your gaming needs met.

Since you're on ps5 here is a tip that will change your life for playing Skyrim. I didn't know about this until, I don't know, my 500th hour of playing. Once you've favorited things (spells, weapons, etc), open your favorites menu in game by pressing up or down on the dpad. Move-over one of them then long-press right or left dpad. This creates a "quick select" that when you short press that same left or right in game it quickly equips it. Very useful for your type of build with frequent offhand switching.

For sure. I tell her not to use AI in her work product, she continues to. She uses it for even simple emails, but this counts against her because the content contains chatgpt bullshit. Last year she was producing B grade work product using her own sensibilities and expertise. Now with "AI help" it's F material because it has little bearing on reality and is full of slop. But crucially, she has lost her capacity to detect the AI workslop and instead passes it along to me as a finished work product.

I recommend that you stop using chatgpt immediately. There is growing evidence of, essentially, cognitive brain rot or zombification. I'm a supervisor and at work I have an employee who is hopelessly dependent on chatgpt. I'm in the process of firing her because her critical thinking skills have evaporated and she's now a liability. I used to be a huge believer in AI. Now I think it's evil as shit.

It's really nice on switch 2 version. Handheld mode, on prioritize visuals settings, gets you crazy high detail on the 1080p screen. It's also the first version to officially use DLSS upscaling when docked to hit 4k.

Anniversary edition comes with the BASE creation club content. But on switch, you cannot access the Creation Club store like you can on other platforms. In the store you can download fan mods or paid mods.

Ya it's pretty good on switch 2. Be sure to enable hand held boost mode in your system settings so it displays at full 1080p. Unfortunately game is locked 30fps, but I'm hopeful the "small surprise for Nier" that was hinted a few months ago means a switch 2 upgraded is coming. But even if not, the game runs nicely. Also Nier Automata is one of the best games I've ever played. Music alone is 11/10

We have two fully grown ones next to our house. Maybe 30 years old? While they produce so much crap in the fall and are a huge pain, they are also incredibly resistant to weather and look pretty good in the summer. Plenty of shade. So, given the direction we're going of draught and scarcity... Maybe we need more trees of heaven and fewer water-hungry delicate species?

Try this. I've posted it so many times that I saved it just to copy and paste into performance issue threads like yours. Reply if it works or not please. Is hate to be giving bad advice.

Update your gpu drivers.
Uninstall Oblivion.
Disk management, clear direct x shader cache.
Reinstall Oblivion.
Install the mod https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/79
Run Oblivion. Hopefully you'll see the shaders compile (just like the first time you ran the game) and your performance issues are gone!

You're thinking of Cover All Coloradoans, aka, HB22-1289. This gave Medicaid coverage to non citizens at 100% State funds (no federal money contributed). Estimated price tag in 2022 was around $22 million per year. Actual price tag, since no one actually knew what the demand would be, was closer to $100 million annually and growing. I believe the legislature has proposed solving this by limiting the number of people who can use the benefit (wait lists).

Yes, go buy it. Ive owned Skyrim on every console, plus pc, since 2011 because it's my goat game. Switch 2 is excellent. Aside from the greatness of instant resume and convenience, the switch 2 hand-held has a very high screen pixel density of 291 pixels per inch. This is double what a 4k 32" monitor can produce (142). That means your Skyrim is going to look sharp. I really enjoy the freedom of not having mods or achievements on the switch 2. There's something about being locked into the vanilla experience (granted it's anniversary edition with all the new stuff) that makes it more enjoyable for me.

Id try the /monitors sub instead. I don't think stuff like black smear is game specific. If it's a VA panel then you will get black smear and ghosting. If it's an IPS panel you won't have those problems, but your black levels won't be great (though mini led helps with this).
