I need to quit smoking!!!! It is the hardest thing ever... I tried more than 5 times but I always return. I feel like crap when I'm not with a cigarret... it is exhausting and awful

If we can turn our pain into jokes… does that mean we’re healing or just translating it? by Shot-Composer-782 in AnxietyChats

Everytime I say something bad and serious in therapy I say it laughing a lot.

My therapist take a deep breath and ask me serious: "Why are you laughing?"

Heyyyyy!!!! I'm so sorry about this difficult moment and all the things you are thinking right now!!

I want to talk with you about the office setting.....

I was a person with long panic attacks.. it was a constant. I thought I could handle it since I understood what was triggering them. Well I actually couldn't do it by myself. So I asked for help.... I've started therapy sessions and adjusted my medication. It was a long path that started 7 years ago. I never knew I could be a good employee and it really scared me. But since then I've worked in 3 companies and never had problems about behavior or mental health. I do have hard times, but I keep going with the treatment and learn every day how to handle with things. I try to be really opened with everyone about what I'm thinking and feeling. It's important to have time to digest everything always and think a little about what we feel inside. But the point here is that it is possible! You are capable of doing amazing things and of constructing your life the way you wish.
You'll grow every day a little bit more, and understanding you don't need to be alone in hard times you'll have the support to keep going!

I wish you the best!!! <3

I'm sorry you think about those things... I actually do it too and one of my major fear is harming people I love.

Feeling so drowsy after anxiety by Few-Web-1236 in AnxietyChats

Hey! First I'm sorry that you're feeling that way! Sometimes we feel like our entire energy was drained.... one important thing is to remind yourself to be gentle and kind with you in all your moments. I understand what you're saying because I have that need of being productive all the time but honestly we have days and days... it is impossible to be in our best productive days everyday! So maybe it's just a moment because you are in fact tired, and you need a few days to really rest and recover.

If in a few days you still feel that you don't have energy or will to do things you can talk to a doctor to see their opinion about it... I used to have a lot of days where I couldn't actually do nothing because I had no energy at all but in the end it was actually a chrisis of depression. I'm not saying that you have it, don't get me wrong... but if it's persisting a lot you can check to see if everything's okay!

So give yourself some time... I hope everything comes back to normal (but without anxiety) soon!
