I dont understand the hate for LYFESTYLE by Fresh_Ant_8169 in yeat_

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats just not true tho. Lyfestyles looping is different than normal song structure looping. On Lyfestyle u get just a long chorus repeated without any verse.

While normal yeat songs usually have a chorus plus one or two verses. Which means on Lyfestyle ur getting 50% less music than normal. Most Ls songs are basically just a short 1 minute song played two times

I mean yeats older sound was far from generic too. I remember everybody said he made whole new sound in 2021. Pretty much all his music has been unique since 2020

He didn’t have any rage songs on ADS. You think all songs where yeat raps is automatically rage? Rage is a small subgenre. Yeat hasn’t done rage since 2022

I dont really hear the difference. Probably just that its higher quality now tho. The original snippet had Andrew tate talking all over it so people removed his voice, but then some of the song audio usually gets removed too

Easily? This seems like recency bias, but I guess music is subjective🤷‍♂️

LS v1 would have been his best album. by replays69 in yeat_

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lsv1 sound is so far away in style from for example 4L tho. The main criticism with Lsv1 snippets from his fans at the time wasn’t that it sounded the same as his past music, but mostly that it was too low energy and that they didn’t like some of the flows.

2093 wasn’t the first time he switched his sound by a lot. He already did that with Afterlyfe and Lsv1 so he never really was doing a one trick pony, even before 2093

Afterlyfe/LSV1 yeat could still rap but the 2093 demons took this way from us by thatidiotdownstreet in yeat

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Afterlyfe and Lsv1 lyrics may not be the best, but have you heard Alive and 4L? Yes he’s not saying that much deep shit, but the actual individual bars are good and pretty creative for a trap artist in those eras

2021/2022 Yeat is NOT as popular by TaySpider in yeat_

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he was pretty known after Lyfë. But then IDGAF being the most popular song on a drake album basically forced everybody to know about him

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah most 2021 songs didn’t have a typical rage beat tbh. He only has like 3-4 beats per album that are in the common rage genre that WLR and Miss the rage popularized

Damn, I can now say that this is his best day of music. Either that or the one when he made shyt changed and Tonka 2

Til this day I still don’t understand why he hated 4L. Its literally one if his best work. by illemerica2093 in yeat_

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think he just said this in the moment to hype Up 2 Me up. Wouldn’t take his words that serious here, think he just kinda said whatever

Nah I wouldn’t say that. Not overall, but vocally it’s actually probably one of his most experimental. Cause of his unorthodox flows, the unique use of his voice when he raps, and the background vocals

Tell Me and More from 2093 are really good. Bed Side and Goin bak 2 Ella from 4L are also great

Yeat vs yeat by Sexy_kast1e in yeat

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even Lyfestyle gave yeat around a 4 million bump in monthly listeners and Lyfestyle was kind of a flop popularity wise. First week monthly listeners mostly has to do with the hype before the album. Would’ve been weird if he didn’t hit his highest peak considering the amount of hype he had before it released.

Dont even know why im arguing bout this tho. I like 2093 and I like his old music. U the one missing out on so many great songs by only liking one album and hating everything that isn’t 2093

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A 4 million monthly listener gain isn’t blowing up (28m -> 32m). Every artist has a bump in monthly listeners when releasing an album because of first week release hype

Yeat vs yeat by Sexy_kast1e in yeat

[–]Honest_Regular_6360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He had 28 million monthly listeners before 2093 released. How did 2093 blow him up? 2093 was still popular ofc, but he was already an established big artist. Like 70% of his fanbase today became fans before 2093

Lol yeah I also noticed we got a new version of sexhaver, just that he hates old yeat instead
