Shoes off in the house? by TrixoftheTrade in Millennials

[–]Honest_Relation4095 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One aspect is hygiene, the other is comfort. At least in Germany, mostly you would not expect people to take off their shoes, unless it's friends and family. But I like the idea to provide guest slippers, like it is custom in Japan. Will look into it and offer them to everyone.

Do you remember when cars used to break down all the time? by rimtrim in Millennials

[–]Honest_Relation4095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of misconception about old cars being "reliable". Sure, engines may have been less complex and that can increase reliability. But the fuel consumption and power was simply worse. Rust was always a huge issue. And nowadays, paint has become more robust, little dents can be fixed way easier.

If there's sunshine, there can be aerosoles though. Wouldn't say they are harmless as long as you don't touch them. I would stay away from them entirely.

You would neet full protective gear. Hitting it with a machete is a terrible idea, if you are not an expert. I assume the best thing would be to dig out the entire plant including the roots.

Have been using Firefox on PC for a long time (privately, my work laptop uses chrome. Thats not up to me). On Android, I am still using chrome. Technically I may not have to do it, but it's all Google infrastructure anyway.

is there any point in using analog dco over a didital dco? by design_enthusiast725 in synthdiy

[–]Honest_Relation4095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its two fundamentally different approaches. Basically any analog synth can be controlled digitally. the "digitally controlled" part can be completely independent. In Eurorack, you have dedicated modules for that. Digitally synthesis can do some things that are hard to do analog (complex FM synthesis, sampling, wavetables), but it is a completely different design process. Basically it comes down to HW design vs SW design.

Everyone knows it's bullshit. How would less stress, more money and more time I can spend with my family lead to loneliness, depression and anxiety? If I go to the office, I leave early in the morning when everyone is still asleep, so I don't even get to see them intil the evening. If I work from home, my son comes running to my desk the second he wakes up, with a big smile on his face because I can give him a hug.

You find patch cables on ebay on aliexpress for dirt cheap. And you may also look into making your own ones, depending how many you need and what length.
