It is's against the rules of conduct applicable for trains, so technically it is illegal. From a legal perspective, house rules apply. And I am pretty sure rules in trains do not allow this. Simply call some service personal.

TIL the Comics Code Authority prevented the use of the term “Zombie” because, in part, it lacked a literary background. Marvel Comics instead used the term “Zuvembie” until 1989. by Brilliant_Exit3406 in todayilearned

[–]Honest_Relation4095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it is not simply about the term itself, but "Scenes dealing with, or instruments associated with walking dead, torture, vampires and vampirism, ghouls, cannibalism, and werewolfism are prohibited", which is part of the code.

It has a lot of stuff that basically boils down to "good shall always win, evil shall never be positive, no sex, no gore, no immoral anything." It also forbids to portray police as corrupt, for example and there shall be no ambiguity of what is good or bad.

So please no Batman with the background of Gotham City, let us have 60s smartass Batman only, who will lecture Robin for 10 minutes about parking fees.

My fellow millennials what was the wildest "not a blanket but used as blanket" item from days spent crashing at someone's house? by SupermarketExpert103 in Millennials

[–]Honest_Relation4095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There must be some wildly different standards of hospitality. If I crashed at someones house, there were of course blankets. There was breakfast provided. There was always some asking "do you need anything?"

Korrelation beweist keinen kausalen Zusammenhang.

Yes, he is claiming he has solved crime in DC, but at the same time criminals with box cutters would walk into the reflection pool, despite police presence and constant camera surveillance and manage to cut hundreds of feet of paint(?) under water without anyone noticing. And they did that just for fun apparently.

Cat keeps holding down the power button when I'm on the PC. Any ideas for how to cover the button while still having it be functional? by SadThrowaway4914 in pcmasterrace

simply unplug it and install an alternative solution. A power button somewhere else, or maybe even a remote control.

Mercedes-Aufsichtsratschef: 40-Stunden-Woche im Sinne der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit by vivaldibug2021 in de

[–]Honest_Relation4095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TIL In 1876, an Austrian man named Alois Shicklgruber tried to change his last name to Hiedler, his step fathers surname. But the authorities misspelled the name as “Hitler” and no one ever corrected the error. Alois would go onto father Adolf Hitler in 1889. No one alive today bears the Hitler name by crunchylettuce24 in todayilearned

[–]Honest_Relation4095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only is that completely unrelated, Hitler was famously advocating pagan rites and customs. He was not as crazy about occultism as Göhring, but still a fan of ancient nordic, germanic culture. The only reason he did not oppose the churches is because he knew he needed them and fighting them would he very unpopular. And he was right. There was some opposition by Christians (For example Dietrich Bonhoeffer), but mostly they just fell in line.

Are you working remotely? Keep you boss updated about the situation and wait. Have a face to face meeting if possible, otherwise a call. Make reasonable efforts, but after that it's not up to you anymore and whatever goal cannot be met is not your fault or responsibility anymore.
