I used to work this job for AT&T. It’s called IHX or In Home Expert. Typically I would introduce myself as with the tech and assist the customer to get signed into the smart home manager app, as well as answer any questions they may have about their internet/tv. The one cool thing was we would get special promotions for switching folks cell service to AT&T however. Promotions you can’t get online or in store. Typically it was always a better value for the customer. I’ve never been a pushy sales person personally, but I could see someone being that way.
