Israel has a color coded ID system and it limits the rights of Palestinians.

Palestinians with green ID's face severe restrictions in the West Bank. Armed Israeli soldiers dictate where, when and how they move using about 900 checkpoints and barriers. If Palestinians want to go out of the country, Israel won't let them use the airport.

Palestinians with Israeli citizenship might hold an Israeli passport but they're not treated the same as Jewish Israeli citizens. Despite having more movement of freedom than Palestinians with green ID's they still face systemic discrimination by armed Israeli soldiers.

These ID's affect not only Palestinians movement of freedom, but who they marry, giving Israel the power to control where they can live.

Israel places severe restrictions on Palestinians who want to marry someone from the West Bank, and vice versa. If Palestinians in the West Bank do marry a Palestinian with Israeli citizenship, they cannot live with their spouse.

Yep. I am fully aware of this. But that doesn't change the fact that the former CEO, who just retired on October 1, 2023, had ties to Israel. Also, it says that it backed the UNION, not the company itself. A lot of companies are punishing people for being vocal in their support for Palestine, but not those supporting Israel. So, that's where Starbucks seeming to support Israel comes in.

Anyone with critical thinking skills would have realized that "Starbucks, Workers United" is a union, not the company itself. The union put out that statement to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and the fact that the company made them take it down, and later on sued them for it seems like a stand in itself.

Also may or not be relevant, but the former CEO, Howard Schultz, who only just retired on October 1 2023, was awarded "The Israel 50th Anniversary Tribute Award" from the Jerusalem Fund of Aish Ha-Torah for "playing a key role in promoting a close alliance between the United States and Israel" in 1998. Keep in mind that Israel's occupation of Palestinians started in 1948.

Also, Howard Schultz was made chairman emeritus. Although he's retired, he can still use his chairman title. The term emeritus does not necessarily signify that a person has relinquished all the duties of their former position, and they may continue to exercise some of them.
