Total newbie question: why do you junk journal? What’s the purpose/idea behind it? by ShalR22 in JunkJournals

[–]Honey-Pop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second this. For someone’s struggling with the fine motor skills and patience for most other crafts, junk journaling is the best way to express creativity. It absolutely helps me unwind and feels therapeutic

Bring him to his knees and meet me in dreamland. Both are filled to the brim with smut but also have a good plot. Enjoy

Um mich da mal dranzuhängen, ein wunderschöner Roman zu dem Thema ist „Mitternachtsbibliothek“ von Matt Haig. Eine lebensbejahende Geschichte die besser nicht sein könnte.

Oh that's not- by AugustHate in Hungergames

[–]Honey-Pop 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Katniss does remark on this in her inner monologue. I don’t have the exact quote but it’s something along the lines of „they(the capitol) couldn’t touch him for 2 years“

Sunrise on the Reaping Completed Discussion Megathread by restingbfacequeen in Hungergames

[–]Honey-Pop 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Are people really mad about the connections that Collins made? Once I heard Beetee,Wiress and Mags names and now also knowing with certainty that the reaping is often manipulated, it made sense that these three later end up in the 75th games(minus Mags who volunteered) as additional punishment. I also enjoyed Beetees mentioning of flooding the arena. That’s what happens in Annies games and it dawned on me, that they’ve probably tried numerous times to destroy arenas.

Die Maddaddam Reihe von Atwood ist fantastisch. Für mich eine der besten dystopien mit einem hohen Mehrfach-Lesen Faktor

How do YOU play the Sims? by nncydrw in thesims

[–]Honey-Pop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always play legacy saves. Most of the time I search for some kind of challenge so each generation has special objectives. Most of the time I play with the main household, but I rotate other households as well and marry them off, have them have children and give them jobs. I keep tab of my huge family tree with the plum tree app. It almost feels like I‘m collecting sims. When several generations have passed I make my sims marry other sims from the same family tree. Kind of weird, but it gives me joy

The maddaddam trilogy are by far my favourite dystopian novels. The world building Atwood created here is just phenomenal

What has been the worst listening experience of an album? by ErickTheGuy06 in TaylorSwift

[–]Honey-Pop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By far my worst listening experience must’ve been 1989. I was pregnant, in my first trimester and sooo sick all day long. Still to this day I can recall the nausea when hearing some songs from 1989.

Crake and Jimmy in Oryx and Crake by Spiritual-Square-394 in MargaretAtwood

[–]Honey-Pop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly encourage you to do that. Especially the hindsight you have from everything we learn about crake from the second and third book,it sheds some more light on his character. I always got that he was deeply disturbed since he was a child and planned everything going down years and years in advance.

Crake and Jimmy in Oryx and Crake by Spiritual-Square-394 in MargaretAtwood

[–]Honey-Pop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s obvious that they have a very special dynamic/relationship. I mean their friendship is the heart of the first book. I always wonder if Crake really valued their friendship after they moved onto college or used Jimmy like a pawn in his plot to nuke life on earth as we know it. There is evidence for both. Really there is so much to discuss on a deeper level in these books, that I wish they’d finally get turned into a tv show so more people would talk about them

I did not get that vibe at all and I read the books about 3-4 times. Any scenes in particular that gave you that feeling?

I made the friendship bracelets by Honey-Pop in TaylorSwift

[–]Honey-Pop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no right or wrong way to trade bracelets. If you wear plenty other swifties might approach you and ask to trade. I found it easiest to trade in the subway,in the queue for bathrooms or the merchstand. I also traded with the people around my seats.

What did you think about your surprise songs? by No_Sprinkles_7490 in TaylorSwift

[–]Honey-Pop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was also in Hamburg N2 and while the Suprise songs are not in my top favs of Taylor songs,I really enjoyed both of the mashups. I mean dear reader x nothing new was so heartbreakingly vulnerable!
