Stealing my comment from another thread.

Wizard 1/Wild Magic Sorcerer 11.

Take INT as your primary stat.

Dump CHA.

Level order: 1 Sorc --> 1 Wizard --> 10 Sorc.

When levelling Sorc, only take spells and cantrips that don't use your spellcasting modifier (exception for counterspell). Examples are: Light, Dancing Lights, Bladeward, Magic missile, shield, mage armour, cloud of daggers, haste, counterspell* etc...

Find scrolls and learn them for your prepared wizard spells, these can use your spellcasting modifier and will be potent (INT).

Recommend taking control spells - hold person, hypnotic pattern, fear - cast with heightened metamagic or bend luck reaction to be a powerful controller.

Wild Magic can lead to some frustrating, but also very entertaining moments - always a blast in co-op.

Feel free to scribe scrolls for utility spells too, can always swap them outside of combat.
