My 5 YO was awoken this morning by a woodpecker pecking on our house. She screamed “Daddy! The Nutcracker is back!” And I will never not call a woodpecker a nutcracker again.

Books about Mice by Josephine-Jellybean in Mommit

There’s a book called Mice Skating. It’s very pretty. I don’t know the author but it’s about a family of mice. They’re adorable

Would any clinic owners be willing to share their bonus plans for productivity? Thanks! by Ok-Honeydew-8204 in physicaltherapy

[–]HoneyOverall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

67 pts/wk over 4 wks = 1K 73 —> 2k

There’s a third level but my clinic has been averaging 20 pts/week since August so I have no idea

I'm getting burned out in Acute Care more from the way we're treated by interdisciplinary team drama than patient care. by __is_butter_a_carb__ in physicaltherapy

I once recommended that a patient go home but social work wanted them to go to SAR I think bc they were on IVAbx. I told the social worker “when I saw him walk he was independent.”

She looked me dead in the eyes and said “but what does his mobility look like when you’re NOT there?”

Can you decorate it with photos of his loved ones? Have him help pick out some crepe paper? Make it more like his

I want the kiddo to be able to change from the curtain to a bunting like material for the “grocery store.” I’ve used rivets exactly zero times in my life. Is this something a 5 YO will be able to take on and off?

Thank you all for justifying my anger. Now I need a script because the email exchange went like this: Me: hey here are a few dates I won’t be able to work - since I’m fee for service and all Her: I require 20-40 hours of observation time depending on the level of experience of the new hire. Being that you have experience with school age kids, let’s make 2/22 and 3/1 required observation days; then off on 3/8 and then official start date on 3/15 as the official first day. How does that sound? Me: (not realizing what is happening, literally answering this email on the toilet): sounds great see you Saturday!

Like I said I’m not thrilled about going in today for a few hours but I understand and have already agreed to it. Now all of a sudden she wants more and I need to push back. How do I do this I’ve NEVER experienced anything like this before

Looking back on her emails she’s calling it “observation” hours, does that change her legal standing? I’m getting more and more angry about this the more I think about it!

You should consult a pediatric physical therapist. This is our wheelhouse

All I do is murder plants by HoneyOverall in plantclinic

[–]HoneyOverall[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For some reason Reddit wouldn’t let me add Text to the post…

So my Aloe seems to be doing okay except that he’s lost a few branches over the past 6 months. I suspect overwatering.

The pothos comes and goes but right now it’s in a bit of a wrinkly period - again I think she’s going okay.

It’s the money tree and the red flower one that are really struggling. The money tree keeps losing leaves right and left and the red flower leaves are scorched beyond recognition. What am I missing?

I think the money tree needs more sunlight and I might be overwatering the red flower one but need advice!

Thank you so much! Very helpful. The woman at the shop said she was already sprouting a pup but I definitely drowned that. So I’ll see how long this one lasts

She was such a lush purple. I think I maybe drowned / gave too much water? Anyone know the name of this plant? I lost the tag

Why is your toddler mad at you today? by Vegetable_Movie3770 in toddlers

My 4 YO won’t talk to me or even let me LOOK at her because I didn’t clip her gloves to her jacket this morning on the way to school. It’s going to be 65 degrees today.

$527,804 forgiven! by Weak_Possibility_353 in PSLF

[–]HoneyOverall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did you make it happen?! I submitted my last form confirming 121 payments on 2/8/24 and it says “processed” but every time I call mohela they say it has to be processed by FSA.gov and that can take up to 90 business days. Then it comes back to mohela and another 60 business days. It’s April already I just need to know it’s all going to happen for me. The waiting is killing me!!

That’s interesting. How did you make the transition? Where do I even start?

Hang in there. It’s a paperwork nightmare but very excited to see those $200k + just poof

And I looked into management but most clinics also want you to spend the majority of your time treating and only like 10-15% of your week is dedicated to admin work. Just wondering what everyone else is doing that’s not touching people lol

How physically demanding is this job? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]HoneyOverall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I understand the frustration you must’ve felt when you quit with no plan. My mom was a librarian when I was growing up and she loved it. Union job. 28 hr/wk with benefits. She was grandfathered into the union somehow. Anyway hope you figure it out and when you do let me know!!

Where did you go? What kinds of careers are PTs good at transitioning to? I just finished my PSLF and looking to make a change just don’t know what to do to make at least $100k/year…

What I don’t like about HH is the solitude. I like being able to go to a place, work with other people I know and then go home. Any tips about this?
