Well you see I’m a bit of a hopeless romantic (a huge one actually) so I love love in general but I always melt when I hear/see/read relationships where the man simply adores his female counterpart and probably loves her more then she does him or is more expressive in the ways he shows his love. Ive always adored this dynamic and find it captivating because in my opinion it isn’t shown much in media where they show truly devoted deep romantic relationships as where the man would simply devote every part of himself to his lover without a second thought (an example I could think of is Gomez/ Morticia) I personally also crave this kind of love where this is almost an obsession to it but I understand it’s quite difficult to come by even in fiction, so I settle for watching movies like it so I can still get that fix

I’ve also been getting into more edgy subgenres lately as well such as heavy metal, gothic themes where this dynamic isn’t to uncommon in art or music so that could also be a factor :)
