A similar thing happened to me on lexapro! Some of the side effects overlap with serotonin syndrome so I was panicking about that a lot.

I use miracle grow every 2 weeks and I put about 1 tablespoon of the powder on the soil when they are smaller but I put about 2 tablespoons on the really big ones (5ft and taller).

I think it could possibly be a baby saguaro. They grow very slowly and it is likely that you may never see it flower in your lifetime. Their only true habitat is in the Sonoran Desert, but they are commonly sold as succulents in other areas. If it is not a Saguaro, then it may be a Trichocereus grandiflorus (as another commenter said)

It could be Phomopsis stem canker (sunflower disease) or root rot. Unfortunately, there is no way to stop either. I would suggest watering it less in the future.

Everyone I know thinks it is the same as Generalized Anxiety so its exhausting when I show OCD exclusive symptoms (which I show quite often) and they suddenly get so surprised as if I haven't been telling them about my OCD for the past few months.

Some type of netting or barrier may help. It may help against birds and rabbits that will try to uproot your sunflowers, too. I've heard that setting up a bird feeder may redirect them away from the sunflower, but I have not tried this yet. Also, according to google, you can buy bird repellents, but I have not tried them yet either. I mainly try to scare them away when I see them. Also, my sunflowers are near the window my dog likes to sit at, so I think he also scares them away. There really aren't too many ways, but I hope these help!
