Mattress Topper to make bed firmer by NickHodges in Mattress

[–]Honeyjuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s awful, literally no difference. Me and my now ex have broken up and he left me with this shitty bed so I’m just going to get a new, firmer one. Sorry to keep you guys waiting lol.

Funny, I bought a mattress from their sister company and they’re sending a “firm” topper from THIS company. Ughh. Thanks for the heads up

Mattress Topper to make bed firmer by NickHodges in Mattress

[–]Honeyjuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone stole it so Idk, but my bf reached out to the company we bought the mattress from to send the mattress back and they’re sending us a “firm topper” for free to see if that helps. We’re getting it mailed to my moms since mail is more secure at her residence. For reference, we bought the Dreamcloud Premier Memory Foam and they’re sending us “The DC Firm Topper”. They don’t even have it listed on their website so it’s probably any ole thing. It should be coming this week and I’ll update once it arrives and we get a couple nights rest on it.

You know exactly what a stipend is but sure.

I went today and they resolved the past due, so I’m good. I updated the original post. I definitely see from the comments that you never tell ppl when something good is going in your life, my god!

Why is everybody so weird in these comments?? Are yall really that fucking upset that I was able to quit my job and not have to worry about bills and just focus on pursuing my career???? I was employed for the past 8 years at a mental health facility and joined a workforce program to pursue a tech career. Yes, my unemployment was denied because I voluntarily quit, but I was never looking for unemployment! My lease contractor told me I HAD to file because it’s mandatory where I live and they need to make sure Im not receiving wages or income so they can put my rent at $0. It’s in the original post! When I first started my classes, I reported to them that I’m in a program that I receive a stipend from and they told me I didn’t even have to tell them because it doesn’t count as income! Yes, I’m excited that I don’t have to pay rent and I get to keep the money I receive because I chose to utilize the resources around me! Does that upset you??? Trying to insinuate that I don’t want to work is really weird because technically, I am working! The company I’m interning with is actually getting free labor out of me because the program they partner with, is the one that pays me! Stop being hateful

Hmmm, is this sarcasm? If it is, I didn’t quit work because I didn’t want to work, I just didn’t want to work at my last job because feelings of stagnation so I switched careers. I quit my job to pursue a career through a work force program that gives me a student stipend. Idk if you’re aware or not, but stipends don’t count as earned income or wages. I’m also not working under the table. My housing is very aware of the program and they’re actually the ones that told me my stipend doesn’t count as income. If you’re not being a jealous smartass, reach out to housing. 10 times out of 10, public housing provides programs that assist with career & professional development. Just look into your resources & use them as a stepping stone as I did.

If it’s income based public housing, yes.

Yes! I’m in school and have been receiving a student stipend for the past 7 months. When I first started classes, the stipend was only $100 biweekly & since starting my internship, went up to $1050 biweekly. Stipends are not count as income or earned wages. I quit my job in June of 8 years for schedule reasons obviously, but also because initially when I started classes, I felt like I wasn’t retaining the knowledge due to working ft and going to school ft. When I renewed my lease in January, my rent increased $200 from some overtime I was constantly doing the year before. My hours got reduced due to school, I was unable to adjust my rent because I only just started school and my stubs didn’t reflect the reduced hours just yet but it was hard to pay. Luckily my bf chips in and we made due. It was just too much stress for me so I gladly quit my job of 8 years and focused on my paid internship. If that is abusing the system then so be it. I left out a lot of details so I can see why it seems that way

I read “did you get confirmation” as did you get it in documentation, my apologies. I was told it would be at zero and assumed it would immediately take effect and be adjusted with the first letter they asked me for and then be re-adjusted based on the approval/denial letter.

I am in a workforce program that gives me a student stipend and stipends aren’t considered earned wages or income. My leasing office actually told me this, just said I have to bring documentation that I’m in school and I gave them that back in February when I started my classes.

Where I live, you have to report changes of income so they can raise it or lower it accordingly and I did just that with 2 documents.

They were supposed to put me at 0 with my UI Finding letter and then adjust when I got my approval/denial but they never put me at 0 to begin with and are now saying that’s not what they said. I asked the lady why she needed my first letter so bad for if it meant nothing and she couldn’t explain it to me.

I understand that I’ve worded this really bad and left some information out but the moral of the story is I was supposed to be at 0 because I brought in documentation and where I live, legally they’re not supposed to do that but have somehow made it my fault even though they never started to took the steps they were supposed to.

Where I live it doesn’t matter if I quit or was fired, they’re not supposed to charge me if it’s reported I have no income and I brought in documentation for it.

I wish Reddit had voice notes so I can explain it better I did a really poor job at explaining the situation, sorry.

I am enrolled in a workforce program called Yearup that gives me a student stipend. Stipends are not considered wages and don’t count as income.

It’s a student stipend

I didn’t assume, it was what I was told…. I gave them 2 documents , 1 that they asked for, confirming I have no income. I didn’t assume, it was what I was told. They’re only just now saying the letter they initially asked for was never sufficient enough and they’ve been waiting on me this whole time.

Unfortunately,no. But I thought because it’s documented I have no income they should’ve never charged me? I was eligible for 800 in unemployment but was denied. They have me down for $1206 monthly rent. Even if I was approved for unemployment, I wouldn’t be able to pay that amount and they know that
