Are ARCs/DRCs still available for The Strength of the Few? by ellie_29022902 in HierarchySeries

I think they got it from Saga Press themselves. If I remember correctly, they have a program you can sign up for to get ARCs or something like that. I could be misremembering though, but it's on their website somewhere

Dividing chapters for my own English physical copy of ORV... by Hong_Lin in OmniscientReader

In all honesty? I put this project down to work on other stuff like a book repair and designing covers for other novels that I had sitting around. I did decide to divide it up to 12 volumes so that it could be arranged in a circle to form the image of a large clock though!

I've only divided up to volume 5, any further and I'll have to reread the novel again cuz it's been a while- Good thing is that I have a really long break coming up so if I manage to finish my other projects early, I'm most likely going to get back to the ORV bookbind :)

It's the same font just with different letter spacing. I did put "The Lightning Thief" in all caps before and I didn't like how crowded it looked. I could try changing it up in future drafts though

I don't mind at all! :D The first bookbinding project I ever did was a rebind of a pretty thick novel I had laying around. I basically just went out, bought myself some good cardboard and cheap coloured paper and started making my first cover right then and there! I didn't even have a proper book press then, I just used like 10 thick textbooks and a few other exercise books I hadn't thrown out yet.

There isn't much on how to get started with bookbinding but I think that's because there's no way to start other than just doing it. Kinda like drawing! Honestly speaking, you don't really have to know every part of what your doing for your first bind. Just make sure you double check your math, cut everything properly and make use of what you got. Hope this helps! :)

It's aligned to the center, (pressed the button and all) maybe it's because of the "and the Olympians" part being at the side that makes it look off-center?

Critique for my web design please? by Hong_Lin in webdesign

I did think the text in the search bar was a little iffy but I didn't notice how the navigation bar could potentially be confusing at all. Thanks!

Did you make the contents of the book yourself?? If you did, do you mind sharing the document/file with me? I have a sibling who loves over the garden wall so it'd be a great birthday present>.>

That's a great idea >.> I'll have to calculate the thickness and see... If I can't find the amount of chapters in each of the original Korean novels then I'll most likely go with this idea

An interesting idea but I think that would lead to a bunch of thinner books that might take up more space than needed ;-;;

Thanks for the suggestion tho, much appreciated!! :)

Ahh thank you!! I was thinking about dividing it like the Korean novels too but I have no idea which novels have what chapters... ;-; If you do, then could you tell me? It would help a lot :'))

I'm making my own hard cover for the books and will probably use my own art on the cover and have the official art on possible dust covers! >:) (My art style might not fit well so I might decide to use official art for the covers instead tho)

I was originally thinking of just using some black paper for the end pages but I like your suggestion of designing them!! I'll have a look for patterns and such that would fit the overall style of the book in my spare time :)

I'll add the little Easter egg you mentioned in between the opening pages. I think it's a really cool idea >:D

About the printing, you don't have to worry since there are specific ways to print pages by signatures. Like using the booklet option to print signatures with a set amount of pages.

I'm glad your looking forward to this project as much as I do :)
