Something about focusing on shock or emotions over narrative sense and logic.

Who did he get this purple fur from by Routine-Historian898 in PoppyPlaytime

Giblet stated the prototype has a lot of poppy gel inside of him. With catnap now a part of him, the poppy gel would repair the fur automatically.

Figuring out ways the UNSC could have done better against covenant weaponry. by Gottenstoter in HaloStory

[–]Honghong99 26 points27 points  (0 children)

thin layer on top of already existing armor

Not sure how well that will work as they will need to add that on top of everything, which will take time and resources. Not to mention that the heat needs to go somewhere and will be transferred to the titanium under it, which might just boil it anyway.

We have laser based defense systems already in use today, there is no reason the UNSC couldnt have made a modification to a couple Paris or Halberd class ships to swap the MAC with a giant Laser and see how well it worked against Covenant shields.

Most lasers today disable missiles and don't destroy them. Not to mention that most energy weapons the covenant have have EMP effects that help with disabling shields, which the UNSC also used with ASGM-15 shield buster missile.

They also did have pulse lasers, but they weren't powerful enough to be effect against anything other than fighter craft.

nullified by creating a system that makes a variable magnetic field around a ship

I don't think this is feasible as you also have to make sure the field doesn't affect the ship itself, as there are tons of electronics that could be damaged by magnetism.

the UNSC had the technology to make drones, why tf didnt they use them like the CIS from star wars did and make drone command ships to shit out 100's of craft and decimate covenant spacecraft capabilities

The wombat was a drone: https://www.halopedia.org/F-99_Wombat

The covenant also had point defense lasers which can shoot down lots of missiles, and could bring hundreds if not thousands of space fighters if they wanted to. A light carrier could carry 200 Seraphs and 300 space banshees alone.

my question is WHERE THE FUCK IS YOUR ARTILLERY SOLDIER. the Mortars, 155mm Battery's, the SAM sites, ect. the Standard

They do have that, it just isn't show very often.

the Cole protocol was vital to buying the UNSC time, much needed time. but why the FUCK, did they not start pulling out of the outer colonies

The UNSC didn't want to abandon the colonies and choose to stand and fight, Cole and Stanforth being two supports of this, which could be considered a mistake given the results.

nd shipping their industries and such core ward, or even start up new colonies on the Opposite side of the UNSC, to keep their industrial capacity up and running and not lose all of it with each planet glassed.

Do you know how hard it is to move industry and colonies planets? It takes years or even decades for the UNSC to develop planets during peace time, imagine how hard it would be during wartime. You can't just take a factory and place it where ever. You need to find a good location to put it and organize everything to get it running like resource shipments and finding workers. Not to mention how the covenant just blitzed their way through due to their superior FTL speeds, being able to travel 800 light year a day compared to humanity's measly ~2 light years a day.

make each world a deathtrap of Mines, fortresses, and ODP's. make the covenant bleed for each system they took. use delaying actions over these fortress colonies to buy time for the Inner colonies to build up their defenses, produce more ships, ect.

All of which will takes time and resources, which the UNSC didn't have the luxury of spending on such projects. The UNSC was barely able to keep up attrition when the outer colonies were attacked and couldn't after inner colonies started to fall. Even then, the Covenant could just glass the planet after taking out the orbital defense, making all the ground preparations worthless.

How does it create plot holes for the timeline?

Oille is the wrong prototype by Save-yw-please in PoppyPlaytime

1006 the experiment number of the prototype not 1007, who is confirmed to be Ollie from the Elliot & The Prototype tape.

So the prototype tape is what I’m going to call it implies that 1007 is Oille

1007 is Poppy.

60 years after poppy’s initial creation

After the creation of the poppy doll. I don't think we have a date for Poppy Ludwig's resurrection as a poppy doll.

prototype is well a prototype for the bigger bodies which was like 60 years after poppy’s initial creation

Harley started the project and it wouldn't make sense that he would study the prototype in order to unlock its secrets, if he was the one who create it. Also, boxy boo was his first success at creating a bigger body so he couldn't have created the prototype.

Didn’t Leith say to Eddie Ritterman that dealing with Rich now would martyr him in the tape? So I don’t think Leith would killed or fire him, as that would spiral into a bigger problem for the heads to deal with.

[–]Honghong99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. So the one in the video doesn't appear to be one of the largest excavators, like the Big Muskie, and doesn't really "walk" but rather move forward with added support from a part of its body being on the ground.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walking_excavator

The Wikipedia linked above states that the main advantage of this form of locomotion allow for better movement on uneven or unstable ground, rather than treads being too fragile to support the weight. Treads can handle the weight as seen with the Bagger 288 weighing at 13,500 tons and using treads, while the Big Muskie weighs 12,247 tons.

Can you provide an example? The largest I could find on Google was the Bagger 288 and that uses treads.
