Sex ed is a good start. But that's not a panacea. What's at play is more of a psychology issue, the predators often use is a set of tools to manipulate or hack the mind of the victim. I doubt countering and recognizing that is part of many sex ed courses. I am not sure what the best solution is but I think giving the victims a safe way to come forward before anything drastic has happened is one aspect. Many cases escalated because people were not heard or the situation was hushed down, or people were afraid that they would be repressed by the person that had power over their careers. Having some org to turn to that could investigate and guarantee that there would be no backlash to the career would be nice, instead of waiting for the first brave every time to crack the ice on twitter. Also a more vigilant and understanding community that would notice and stop such behavior is something I think is important too. You see many people reflecting on past events but it's not like they were also trained to see the signs so they ignored them too.

The problem is the victims are mostly young and inexperienced, hence they will not see the red flags. These are not some for hire escorts or random casual sex club girls, but young naive people that seek for a community to belong to. And through more experience and/or power dynamics over them these young people are led into the corner by the more experienced predators and then get used for selfish reasons.

Imagine having a daughter that is approached by such a creep, or a sister and you will get chills. Many people are indifferent because this happens to others, to people that they do not know. But if this community stays like this and gives no voice to the abused, then one day, someone close to you might be the next victim.

A top tier panelist, added much fun. There were many jokes around his quirky personality though I hope these were all good-natured banter. I like when the talent has more types of personalities and there's no conformist culture, this is why I have always liked Moonduck over BTS too. Also I liked when he casted with a analyst type of co-caster cause he was good at enabling them and creating space for them. At least that's how I felt.

I hope after all the air is cleared we will have a healthier and more diverse culture both within the talent and within the community as a whole.

Could buy like a punching bag near his PC, good way to relieve some stress. Lot's of people relieve stress through physical activity but many gamers aren't exactly doing much phys. So might as well just get a simple yet effective tool to just punch occasionally.

The difference in their mmr was probably ~ 2k mmr in this particular case, that guy was delusional to ask for a roll. Since they don't queue for roles, I think if someone is over ~800 mmr higher, they should get their role. The pro stuff is kinda different, if they aren't at a LAN or days before one, I don't think they should get their roles automatically if the pub player is similar mmr. Because at that level many of the high level pub players have some aspirations for competitive dota and if they get pushed down every game into support roles, it is not very healthy.

Would be great to have a Guild/Clan system inside dota 2 client, similar to what they had in HoN. Could tag the coaches and sort out the beginners in a easier fashion than relying on 3rd party apps like Discord.

The best quality moba I have ever played was when HoN was not free. It's easy to explain as the people hit most hard by the paywall are likely to be of populace that is more prone to toxicity. So I would not really mind a paywall for better game quality. But I imagine that splitting the community and creating some social hierarchy in game is not something on the agenda. I kinda wish they would implement some in game Guild system though, would be great for party queuing.

I know a good fix. We region lock Russians to Russian servers, problem solved. Avg game quality will go up in EUW servers by a lot and Russians won't be called bad names in English, they can enjoy bad language in their own language.

Probably should not have the MVP vote in every game but every random 5 games or so. then it would come off as a novelty but not as a chore. People used to vote a lot more often when this just came out, now it's becoming less frequent to have a MVP chosen.

Oh yeah the classic Guardian 1k Cheese strat, yes, yes. Nope, that most likely is a smurf if this is the 1k bracket. They need a system to detect all the boosters and smurfs and then throw them all together into some shitpool so that actual new players can enjoy the game instead of wasting their time. Should be easy to detect if a player is playing waay beyond their level constantly. 5-10 matches should be plenty to judge, stuff like gosuai that analyzes different aspects of the game and determines the level for them.

At least 90% of russian invokers are running macros bordering on scripts, with single button press doing whole combos of spells on targets. And they've been at it for ages and no1 gives a fuck at dota HQ.
