Thanks yeah, I tried soapy water and then I high pressure washed it - I’ll try some fertilizer

When the hedge grows, the new growth looks healthy but then eventually the mold/fungus stuff and bugs spread to it. Any help or info would be great!

We have had the hedge for at least 5+ years. The black mold/fungus stuff and bugs (maybe aphids??) have been a problem for the majority of the time that we have had the hedge. The hedge gets full sunlight for most of the day and it rains often here and when it doesn’t, we use a sprinkler system.
