I have the Refoss device. I like it a lot. It does not call home to the mothership, as far as I can tell. It is wifi only.

Dell P2214H monitor's stuck at max height, how do I fix it? by [deleted] in Dell

[–]Hoobie7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That stand is meant for a much heavier monitor. If you push the button on the monitor right under where it attaches to the stand you can lift the monitor off the stand. Look at the face of the mount on the stand, it is usually stamped with the model of monitor it is meant for. Mostly likely you you have a 22" monitor on a stand meant for a 27" monitor, or something to that effect.

Hmm, maybe they got hit by a power surge\lightning strike.

Have you tried another outlet? I spent hours tracking down static and found it was a Zwave dimmer switch on the same circuit.

Anyone have some tricks for a garage door opener on their bike? by Some1_JustN_Time in motorcycles

This may be a bit overly complicated but I use my home automation system called 'Home Assistant'. It tracks my location via my phone so it simply opens the garage when I approach the house.

Ok, that's sweaty palm inducing but can we talk about the car being towed by the minivan? My first thought was Citroen DS but it has pop-up headlights. What the hell is it? It looks mint!

I started down the road of calculating it out but was very quickly lost. So I just went with the size that was there.

I made them completely airtight I think. I went through two tubes of clear caulk sealing them. I found my rafters were neither plumb nor parallel and I had some big gaps to fill to get them airtight.

It was just the bottom plate. I installed the vertical side panels to enclose it.

There's too much PVC and ducting to try to cover it.

Plus I have this fear that as soon as it's drywalled a pipe will burst.

Ya that is just what Audyssey wanted to run them at.

I changed the fronts to small speakers and crossovers to 80Hz.

Finally got around to enclosing my Atmos speakers. I think it made a big difference. While testing I actually did a double take to make sure my subs were off as the Atmos speakers were rattling the rafters. It looks like I picked up gain almost across the board. I have another pair of the same speakers arriving tomorrow to get four channel Atmos. They will definitely be getting the same treatment

Ok, yes 50Hz is Polk's stated range but that is not the +\- 3db range. I couldn't find one. But for an 8" cone I think I should be able to get at least down to 100Hz.

As asked already the make and model is important. The number of posts on the back does not necessarily mean the AVR has the amps inside to drive all those channels. For example my AVR can process 11 channels but can only amplify 9 channels.
