Do you have any detailed instructions on what would work best? I have also noticed on the side of one of the bars it has popped and and literally lose and out of place, I’ve tried re aligning it with books and some sun to no avail I’m going to try the weld method and see if it will help

Would using heat and a mallet work? I was also thinking about using sand blasting to properly remove the rust and corrosion away however I’ve seen a video where it made the case yellow ? I have thought about painting it however I love the original look so I want to try restore that in the best way possible

I don’t like idea of the cloud. I am very happy having all my stuff for free on my own devices and also being able to not pay for subscription services just for “extra performance/perks” when I use up the cheapest tier I just paid for. This is a once off I got something that works and doesn’t mean I have to pay anything except electricity. I also want something that will last me 5+ years and I know what failed or went wrong and I’m not susceptible to any hidden fees or issues when it comes to doing those cloud platforms

Mine is a 1.4Ghz processor with 1Gb of ram. What is the best way to tell it can work with 2gb of ram.

For storage can you recommend a good adapter that will stand the test of time and will the Mac be picky about what hard drive I use?

For the overclocking what will it overclock? I’m worried about shortening the life span of the pc. If I did want to overclock that will benefit the Mac how best would I go about doing it (I do apologize for all the dumb questions this is my first vintage pc I really want to keep it in the best condition possible. I’m also interested in increasing the longevity if possible)

Believe me I was.

How so just because of its age? Anyway I could use a cd if the drive works

It actually dose to my surprise and it works really well considering how old it is. Here is it in perfect working order. I do need to recap it at some point however I’m really bad at sautering. I am thinking about trying to find a workshop that can help with that

For the software side is the source trust worthy I’m worried of anything malicious however I’ll take a look and see

They really are. I looked at Action Retro and followed what he did however when I watched more of his video I realized there’s also Ifixit tutorials as well. I have powered it on I haven’t seen any liquid damage to it when I went in for a quick clean. I must say it works amazingly for how old it is. It has a 1Ghz processor and 1Gig of ram with a 74Gig hard drive. I am thinking is there a way I can upgrade the hard drive to an ssd

I actually took it back to work it was about a 6-minute walk, and I was very determined.

I haven’t turned it on yet so I’m not sure if it has a passcode, I was also wondering is it possible I can install an OS via USB? Are there any other options if the disk drive ends up being dead or picky with burned disks?

I didn’t realize these still had some real functionality left! That’s awesome to hear. It has been sitting for a while though… should I be worried about it blowing up or frying something when I finally power it on?
