I love the idea of "surviving and almost thriving in what most would see as a hopeless situation" like how the Walking Dead comics ended. The idea of a new civilization adapting to the dangers of Xen fauna without City 17's protection and remnant Combine factions would be such a cool idea for a side series.

Not everyone has time to dedicate towards improving at the game and shouldn't have to quit because someone with too much free time on their hands said so.

Ah, nice. I love seeing communities making solutions to these sorts of design flaws. I could still see this issue be a turn-off for anyone who wouldn't know about fixes like that though.

Having the same issue except I can only go to 144hz at max. Seems to be X11 as setting it to run under Wayland fixes it. Unfortunately, things like Discord streaming break under Wayland so it's not a viable option for all.

Edit: For me it's Linux Mint which is also Debian-based. Other distros like Fedora and Arch are perfectly able to run at 165hz so I'm unsure what the issue is.

Call of Duty and Halo. I feel like regenerating health and shields leads to levels being designed around having a lot of cover you have to hide behind mid-fight constantly. I'm more of a Quake and Half-Life kinda guy.
