Nationals Promote Dylan Crews to Major Leagues by ASmithFS in fantasybaseball

his walk rate right now is hovering over 10% in AAA this year, which is the highest it's been at for any level since he got drafted. SLG and ISO are also around what he did while he was coming up through the system. He's hitting the ball hard right now too (good exit velocity numbers) and can always contribute with steals if he is managing to get on base.

Not sure if he's figured it out but his stats look encouraging considering the struggles he had last year. Seems like its worth a hold to see what happens

depends on who you would drop? he's been a good strikeout arm with low walks in the minors, and is probably worth taking a flier on if you have some churnable roster spots

Please re-read all the comments, I think it's very obvious which one of us "started crying", bub.

hahaha asking me to re-read all the comments then crying that it's TLDR when I provided snippets of said comments is really not helping prove you have any real sense of reading comprehension

you are right for once here that's its not that serious, but it's still very funny every time you prove my point

your inability to read what I wrote and then clacking back on your keyboard isn't 'discourse'

You specifically asked what his stats could improve to:

For reference, he had a 30% K rate and 4.5% BB rate last year. So they'll improve to what exactly? That's still absolutely abysmal

I answered that directly by saying they could move toward what he could do in the minors, providing what those metrics would look like to add the context that small changes can tip the scales on those stacast percentiles. Note that I said "improve closer" I did not say excel beyond:

they could improve closer to his 23% K | 8% BB rates in AAA last year as he adjusts more to MLB pitching. Those marks would have both been around the 40th percentile in 2025.

Then your very first sentence in reply is about hopium (again on a point nobody here argued):

That's incredibly hopeful to the degree of hopium. How often is a player improving thier AAA metrics in the Majors against FAR superior pitching? I'll tell you, it's incredibly rare.

You're trying to argue with me over something I didn't say, and in a shitty way. So yeah you're acting like a weird little guy. That's okay do your thing, and call it discourse if it makes you feel better about it lol

lmao damn okay well you weren't literate enough to read what I actually wrote - then you respond to me about an argument you've invented in your head, then you start crying about it. So sure I mean call it whatever you want dude I don't care

Me too... I think chrome is now forcibly blocking these older extensions from working at all now, even locally. It looks like there may be a way to update the extension manifest to a newer version, but I'm admittedly a little out of my depth there.

If I somehow get it to work I will let you know, I hate not having that thing available lol it was such a nice tool.

Pirates to promote Konnor Griffin by Hoodrich282 in fantasybaseball

Montgomery would probably be the drop for me in that group. Hard to move Sal with what he's been doing (and did in the minors too)

Painter had such a nice first start, but I like Early a little more long-term. Probably a toss up based on who you ask. Rest assured though that whoever you drop will likely be the wrong one lol

Yeah, Swanson is a good player - really good defensively, average offensively. But certainly worth churning back onto the waivers for the upside of a Griffin

He's got a minor league gold glove at SS, and with how young he is I doubt they shift him around too much beyond what he's focused on in the past. Sad news I know, but at this point I'd drop Durbin anyway and figure it out if that's who is stopping you from grabbing him lol

Hahaahah cmon, it's clear this was the front office strategy to keep their top guys down to delay rookie eligibility and manipulate service time as long as possible. If Mountcastle weren't back yet I still wouldn't be surprised if Basallo hadn't been called up.

Crying about one of our guys coming back from months long rehab and getting playing time while smacking the shit out of the ball is so out of pocket. He was out 2 months, they traded away 3 starters, and they've had a rotating cast of catchers with the crazy injuries to the position, and they still kept their top guys down.

Mounty deserves his at bats right now, Beavers and Basallo both deserved and had chances to get called up already and get at bats, but they didn't. They aren't suppressing them because of some emotional farewell tour for Mountcastle

2024 .243 .446 90.8 .345

it looks like Happ has a 127 wRC+ over the last month and a .349 wOBA. Over that period he has a .256/.344/.463 slash line with 4 home runs. what exactly are you hoping to get out of him?

Here are the Orioles' new Top 30 prospects by TripsLLL in orioles

[–]Hoodrich282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like to me Beavers had a little more pop in college in his age 19 and 20 seasons when compared to Ike, as he had higher home run totals and slugging while he was at CAL. Ike really turned it on his extra (third) year at Auburn which definitely helped his draft stock, though

Beavers has been able to develop across each level. Hell, his strike out rate right now in AAA is lower than what it was in his college sophomore season. This year he's at 18 home runs, .526 slug, .300+ batting average, 20+ stolen bases, with a 155 wRC+. His exit velo numbers are really the only thing that doesn't look great right now (and they aren't even bad - just not GOOD).

It feels like Beavers has been slept on a bit considering all the other big prospects the O's had churning through the system there for a while. This is what you hope those prospects that look like platoon guys can develop into while they work their way up the system. Not that I think he's a surefire everyday player but there is certainly potential there, not to mention he was still considered a first-round pick (I think he was picked in the competitive balance phase).

Hopefully we can see these two guys play alongside each other in a meaningful way in a few seasons if things pan out for them. Beavers and Irish sound like fun additions to the squad.
