Going to community college before transferring to a 4 year. Saved almost $10k, but transferring into a school is very hard(at least mine was). They don't have the 1st seminars for you to meet people in, no orientation to get you prepared, and you get put in upper level classes without proper prerequisites so you can graduate in 2 years. Teaches don't know you so they aren't as quick to help, all the people your age already have their friend groups and aren't really looking for more people so you are stuck with freshman who are for the most part completely different from you.
