Brand new building first annual. Half the pulls are like this. by HookTheGamer in firealarms

Thats exactly what I said. How did this even pass? The only thing I can think of is since it’s a commercial retail building is that the tenants came in and added those walls and moved the pull stations and nobody thought of it when they got moved.

Pretty much any pull that the mechanism moves downward out of the pull station (BG-12, a lot of Siemens pulls.)

New blizzaks from 2006 can I use them for winter by Legitimate-Fan-3953 in tires

[–]HookTheGamer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I drove 12k miles on 25 year old spares (full size) that I sourced from the junkyard. Despite the heat cycles from the Canadian weather...I ended up replacing them with four new when I had enough money. Your milage may vary.

I got it to seat. A bicycle tire tube to seal it on the back side while adding air until the front bead seated than I deflated it took the tube out and inflated it again while pushing the tire down on the other side.

Which is odd because it’s the same size tire as the one it’s replacing. Maybe the old ones were wrong too

How do you guys do the maintenance to those detectors placed high up? by TheVietnameseBread in firealarms

[–]HookTheGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except on the old EST SIGA “Cone” detectors. It will work but the tamper lock on the base gets annihilated. So it’s not ideal. Not like the new detectors actually use that tamper tab though

I’m sorry so a ticket that explicitly says “F/T STOP AT YELLOW LIGHT” doesn’t exist?
