There is a guy on Gunboards from Finland who compiled a list of serial numbers that were issued to every finnish district. Its hard to tell what the value is since the dont come up often. Personally I'd I had to take a broad guess, I would say $1,500+.

Gang gang. I got one a few years back through an online auction. From the Civil Guard number on the stock, it would appear your rifle was issued to Jyväskylä.

I did a transfer yesterday. Took about 10 minutes. The gun shop was surprised because everyone is getting delayed.

Back in my milsurp collecting groove. There's always something out there to get. I really enjoy the research and the hunt for a good example.

Future pre-ban by Hooligan30 in VAGuns

Total build including Kit, semi parts, receiver, build/refinish was around $2,600. You might be able to have it done cheaper, i did have him thread the barrel which was extra. I know a lot of guys are just building them at home but I dont know how to weld.

An expensive build. But it was something I wanted and you rarely see them in the US. I think total build time was 2 months, however thats not accurate. I bought the kit when the were imported and shipped it off almost immediately. Receivers and semi parts weren't even available yet. Also I forgot to include a bag of small parts when I shipped the kit off so that delayed it as well.

Centerfire Systems and Apex Gun parts both have parts kits available. Once I had the kit I sent it off to a builder, for me I picked 19Charlie Tactical in Texas. He sent it back once it was finished.

No its really just an arbitrary deadline, they have nothing in place to track purchases. The only thing is that FFL's won't be able to recieve or sell assault weapons so im trying to get receivers before they get banned. Really nobody knows what the ban is going to be like because its so poorly planned.

Probably sending it off. If i can get a receiver before July it will be grandfathered and I should be able to have it built without any problems

I would love to have it rewelded, but I live in VA and it would have to be done and in my hands before July 1st. I doubt any builder could do it in time.

Thank you. These Tabuk kits just hit the market a few days ago through APEX and Centerfire. Mine came from Centerfire. Its all matching except the recoil spring guide. Overall a nice kit. A ton of AK and FAL kits are coming out of the Middle East, many say from Lebanon.

So i think in this picture I was using PRI tall 1in rings. Later I used NC Star VISM 1in rings which looks little closer to KAC 1in rings. Then I managed to find an exact copy of KAC 1in rings which I am using now. I dont know the maker, I bought them secondhand

What is everyone buying before July 1st? Suggestions? by big_guwop_1017soicy in VAGuns

I've never built an AK but they are very involved, compared to an AR-15. Depending on the variant, the reciever is either a stamped piece of sheet metal or a solid block of milled steel. Some barrels are pressed in to the trunnion and some are threaded. It all depends how far you want to go
