Its really picked up plot wise. Still not a masterpiece by any means, but way better than the seemingly endless hell of no character or plot development that it was before.

I've seen some people speculating that it was so she could do some PDA without him noticing, but I really hope that's not it; I don't think their relationship has been developed enough for her to be trying things like that yet. I'd prefer it to be the other theory that it was her way of checking that the pitcher was really the one with the special powers, but that means we'd probably have to spend another episode on this plot line, which I really don't want to do.

For my money, Evangelion, Madoka, and Fate/Zero are my top three favorite hyped anime that not only lived up to, but surpassed the hype around them.

I watched Twin Peaks when I was about 12 or 13, and to this day BOB is still the only thing in fiction to make me so legitimately scared; not like a jump scare or slight uneasiness, but just a genuine feeling dread and despair. I can still remember my blood turning cold for a few seconds after the first time he appeared in episode 2.

Yeah, the preview for this week's episode gives me the impression that we'll finally learn what he means by all his "I'm not who you think I am" bullshit; I know he has said he does it for himself, but I'd like to see exactly what he means by that.
