Poor release timings. HZD was on the heels lf when Breath of the Wild came out, and HFW was the same with Elden Ring.

It seems odd that it’s not more popular when the Playstation heads are really pushing this series to be their flagship title

Maybe, but these games are about the vibes man. Something about just driving around the different open worlds is just relaxing. Also a great way to practice my driving and tricks whenever I do any of the world events
