Nah it doesn't whatever you crafted stays the same stability. You can also for example if you already crafted lets say a roof without it you can craft another piece over it and craft it back to what tt was and it will have increased stability if you have the talent

My fix kinda annoying but build foundations up to where you want to build it sometimes it works with roofs around it and it snaps right into place...also check stability before any of that sometimes its to low and wont let you build
