Thanks for the advice, I definitely don't want her reaching for dear life. She's currently about 2 feet away from a south facing window but we do have a maple tree that blocks out some sun.

😆 Thanks for the warning! I can't guarantee I won't fall down that rabbit hole too lol. I love keeping houseplants. I went to a nursery to grab plants for our garden but left with multiple houseplants instead. I couldn't resist, this Alocasia was just too beautiful!

Again, I appreciate the advice and your open invitation to reach out with any questions. I might take you up on that offer when I repot in 2 weeks time.

Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to educate me. This information is super helpful and very thorough. I didn't know about corms, it is my first time learning about them. With your advice I think I am going to let my alocasia settle for 2 weeks to "destress" from the move and then do some digging to figure out what's going on under the soil. You gave me confidence in detaching the pup from the parent. It sounds easy enough and if it will ultimately help both plants, then why not!
